Sorry :) But you got the idea what is going on correctly. And I think you are on the point, I can't ping 1.2.3.10 from 192.168.1.10. I (idiot) was looking the wrong thing all the time, I thought 1.2.3.10 can access 192.168.1.10, not the other way around. Why the hell doesn't it want to ping 1.2.3.10...
Hi, I've got a situation with NAT not working. I've got an ESXi host containing Mikrotik CHR router and multiple VMs. Some of them are on private IPs, some of them are on public IPs. Mikrotik is connected to some DC gateway. It has ip ex. 1.2.3.1. It has two bridges: - "Bridge-PUBLIC" whic...
We are using "regular", PC version, of RouterOS installed on virtual machine and using it as firewall with thousands of entries in address lists, cca few hundred rules etc etc. The virtual PC has 4 cores but firewall utilizes only one, and it reaches 100% most of the time and it starts dro...
tnakir , how are you powering the device? Please make sure you have specified the correct APN as sometimes with invalid APN it would not connect to the LTE network. Buit-in GPS antenna should be working outdoors. You can get an external GPS antenna from us as well. I'm powering the device via PoE, ...
Hey guys, we just got some RB3011UiAS-RM, and we have some problems with connecting the power connector. The problem is that the power jack is too far from the enclosure, and the plug can not go inside enough to provide stable contact. The only solution we could end up with is to use Mikrotik HighPo...
I am having a problem with wireless-rep package on RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN when using 2.4 band (I tried all the channel widths) on my laptop. When my Logitech Unifying receiver (mouse) is connected to my laptop's USB, my CCQ drops to 20%. When I unplug it, i get 90+%. When I use older packages, I don't g...
But why putting configuration nobody is using? You can configure your router with quick setup if you want, but mostly people don't use default config, they delete it.
Yeah, that default configuration is really pain in the ass, on all the boards. Please, leave the board without any configuration (except maybe IP on eth1).
Mikrotik support found the problem source: the issue happens when the antenna cable (the cable that connects onboard wifi and the omni antenna) goes over the PCB. So, if you move the cable aside the PCB, the board works fine. Go figure...
I got 2 of the mentioned routers. When I enable wlan adapter, the router becomes unstable, slow, and it hangs after few seconds. When wlan is disabled, the board works fine. I installed ROS 6.7 and upgraded to 3.10 firmware. Both of the routers came from the same batch and had problems out of the bo...
I'm having other e-mail issues with 6.7 I'm sending email with this: /tool e-mail> send from=mail@mail.com to=mail2@mail2-com server=x.x.x.x port=25 user=someuser password=somepwd subject="Message subject" body="Message" and the command does not send subject or the body (check th...
I aslo encountered two 751U-2HnD boards which went flashing when connected to original power supply. After I connected it to 24V power supply it worked normally, even with the original power supplys which was problematic.
Yesterday i tried to replace ethernet connector from an old RB411 and I did not manage to remove the connector without damaging him badly. I was trying to use Weller soldering station and hot air blower.
Sounds like there is a problem with some of the later 751U hardware since we have a few people all seeing the exact same thing. Unfortunately, that just means to me that I will not be using this Mikrotik device and will thoroughly test the wireless of any future hardware before putting it into prod...
We also noticed the noise when we were mounting some 751U boards to a marina. We thought we are catching some radar freq., but we had the same problem when we tested same boards (as well as some other from the different batch) inside our company where other Mikrotik equipment didn't see anything sim...
We also had one SXT which was mounted near the sea, ended as the pile of rust. I guess the salty fog gets in the sxt, condesates on the PCB which corrodes.
We received new shipment from Mikrotik.
Some of the boards expiriencing the same problems.
Unstable, rebooting, unable to access.
We tried installing ROS 5.19 and FW 2.41, and it didn't help.
Nope, they all came with stock frequency of 680 Mhz.
We also started to receive some 711-2HnD not being able to boot, they also came from the same box.
I just hope the problem exists only with this shippment
We have a box of 433GL that are unstable: rebooting, randomly unable to connect to them via Winbox (MAC/IP). We tried netinstalling to 5.16, upgraded fw to 2.39. Nothing helped.
Janisk, when i do /interface/wireless/scan bla bla through the api, i get maximum one or two lines back. I set duration for 10 seconds. When i do scan over winbox i get over 15 networks. I've been struggleing with this scan for quite some time now. Could you please be helpful? The code is (using C# ...
Us too are having more problems with capacitors. First, we had problems only with RB450/G series, and now we have problems with 411, 433, 750/G etc etc... We also have noticed we have more and more malfunctional routerboards. It is not a problem replacing a bad capacitor, but the problem is the down...
I tried these approaches: - RouterOS scripting - RouterOS API - I programmed application that does SSH connection to router and none worked. Still searching for the solution. It would be very helpful if you could do some feature like /interface wireless scan 0 duration=5 outputfile=something which w...
We were talkin to our clients about 751, and it seams it will be a very popular product.
Both us and them are waiting for 751 to hit the market, and it's a bit annoying explaining to them that the product publishing is postponed over and over again ((
We managed to achieve stable 150Mbit TCP throughput with 2 SXT connected to 2 computers. We used IPerf with 4 threads. Some of our friends established 200Mbit TCP link on 3 km distance. So far, we're happy with the device. Nice job MT!
We are at the coast as well, and we do not use any special treatment to the boards or the casings. We only use vulcanizing tape on N connectors (pigtail > cable > antenna) to prevent moisture to enter and that's it. These pra boxes are 100% dry.
Using plastic antennas/outdoor cases would do the trick?
Salt doesn't affect PVC and the board is safe in there. We use Itelite PRABox and all pra antenas and they are sealed when closed.
We are recieving requests for RB1100U on daily basis, and yet, it is unavailable at Mikrotik and in all stores we contacted in Europe. When will it be available @ Mikrotik.
Is the shortage related to, maybe, publishing of a new 1xxx board? Maybe 1100 with SFP interface?
Send a list of affected Serial Numbers to Support and we will see if there is anything different about them. My boss will contact Mikrotik support these days. Another one came today, 750G - when plugged in, eth1 led lights normal, eth 4 and 5 leds light week. Not visible via winbox. The board is ex...
I have used a large number of 750G's and so far have had no issues, I always buy them with the Mikrotik "High Power" PSU, the 24volt one, maybe it's the cheap PSU's you are using causing the issues ? We are using the PSU provided with the routerboard. We sold few hundreds of both 750 and ...
We ordered few dozens of RB750G and have lots of problems with it. Some of them just die after some time (they power up, but eth ports are dead). Some of them signalize that ethx port is active and there is no cable plugged in. They do not respond? Anyone had simmilar isues with RB750G?
Could you please enable manipulation of retrieved data from wireless scan from the scripts. I wish i could manipulate with the data from the script (send list to email).
Hi, I need to make a script that collects data from /interface/wireless/> scan "wlan1" and sends it to the specific mail daily. I've got everything figured out except for this: :local wirelesslist [scan $interface1 freeze-frame-interval=0:0:02]; Problem with the scan is that you have to st...
