Re: Mikrotik & Atheros AR9390-AL1B - 3x3 MIMO is it really?

It's antenna problem. You have interferences between chains. From my experience - you can try to isolate pigtails near ufl connectors. Or try something like this: This card has a SMA-connector. Interferences near connectors are much lower than within ufl-type cards. ...

I´ve had a lot of problems with bad wireless cards. As you said... everything is changed even connectors swap doesn´t help one chain is still worst then the other... it is a bad radio card (if you are lucky as me, then you can also have 70% bad wireless cards...)

Runing in 20MHz channel and a real speed is about 95Mb/s. (tcp test shows the same)

Weird thing is link speed. It says just 144Mb/s... I thought it will be just a little under half from 450Mb/s....

Re: 802.11n 1x1 vs 802.11a

I've read somewhere in this forum something about that R52Hn cards have 2 amplifiers, each one connected to one MMCX, so the R52Hn is a 2 x 18 db card. If you use only one MMCX, you have a 18 db radio. That could be the reason, Matess. When I replaced the R52Hn with XR5 cards in a sector antenna, I...

Re: 802.11n 1x1 vs 802.11a

We are normally using wnc cm9 wireless cards and when changing to r52hn link quality goes down. No benefit at all. Speed increase is almost nothing, and possibly you will have more problems with stability. If you want to use 802.11n use it with 40MHz channel - this works better then 40MHz in 802.11a...

I recommend at least 18V power suply. We are using cheap notebook adaptors with 19.6V, for a long ethernet cables (50m+) 24V is only option. (19V power source 9V on RB, 24V power source 22V on RB)
