Re: URGENT security reminder

So, I got some routers that are "hacked" and has some stuff on them.
I try to clean them and then upgrade, but I cant, the upgrades wont get true. Is the only option to netinstall them?

Aha, so you are talking about vlan tag. No, we dont use any vlans in the vpls tunnels, just plain vpls tunnel to the customer whit either static or dhcp addresses to the customers/our router. Re: VPLS/MPLS via ospf in wireless network

1522 is too small because VPLS requires two MPLS labels instead of one. One label is for the MPLS endpoint, and the other is for the VPLS tunnel identification. hence the 1526 minimum. Standard MTUs for MPLS to hand off a 1500 bytes frame are: minimum of: 1526 - if planning to use untagged frames w...

Re: VPLS/MPLS via ospf in wireless network

Hi,

Well, that works, but I have read somewhere that the vpls interface will fragment the package anyway, due that I can ping whit 1500 packetsize as well.

Eth header 14, MPLS 4, VPLS ID 4, VPLS 4, IP header 20 + data 1500 + ping header 8 = 1554
How does this work ? ? ?

Re: Solved! pppoe via vpls

But the pppoe mtu is set to 1480 by default? so the router don´t have to handle a 1500 packet? would it work then?

but i understand you, the best would to change out the old hw to newer ones who can handles full mtu.

Thats what I critisize all time long. You have to test your SW before releasing it on all of your devices (at least the actual devices) with a test suite. What you guys do here is in no way responsible. You have to tell the truth: 6.x is a beta development tree. 5.25 is the latest stable Version. +1

I'm the only one in the site. their for I can plan the frequencies. The Omnitik has a omni antenna - It will pick up interference from everywhere. You need to make sure you have a selected a clean frequency. Yes, I have already check that. The site runs much better now when I changed the antenna.

Re: queue tree whitout any limit, just priority.

Thats why I´m asking =)

If their is no limit set, would it priority that data who has the lowest priority set under that parent.

edit. because you can add a child queue whitout any limit, why is that possible if it doesent work?

Exactly, If we put Those items together we get what I want.

But would be more nice if mikrotik made a more out of the box product :)

Iam thinking the market would be whit a rb1000UP and 10 APs would be companies, school, public areas etc.

Easy to setup and easy to deploy.

note the 5 digit in the name. if it supports both 5 and 2.4 GHz the name would be something like 52. or only 2.4GHz their would be a 2 in the name.
