Re: C# API - tik4net on GitHub

So I want to send a series of config changes to be executed sequentially, and I would do this in a script by surrounding the commands with { and } so they execute one after the other, even if the connection is broken, because I change the ip or reset the macs etc. How can I do something similar with...

Re: Which types of ports would you like to see for a high speed router

Port config, I'd like to see 16 or 24 ports SFP+ with an option on a couple of higher speed ports for interconnection.

Most importantly though, if its a rack model, it MUST have internal psu, with an optional secondary. No more damn wall warts in the rack!

Re: OpenVPN Access Server and Mikrotik ovpn client

Only viable solution I have come across is to use http://www.ubnt.com/edgemax#edge-router-lite

They support full openvpn

Usage scenario 1: In use with two major global retailers and major oil company. Remote support. Backups of databases are taken daily to a central location from a variety of sites around the world, from a truck in Russia to an oil refinery in the UK for specialised machinery. Remote control provides ...

Re: OVPN on new versoins ROS 6.0 and 5.1...

UDP support for the ovpn client/server is essential, and much needed. I have over 70 sites, and let me tell you, ANY kind of vpn running over TCP is a nightmare. OpenVPN is flexible, mature, and an rb750 that has UDP based ovpn would be a godsend for me. Seriously, Mikrotik, it is a repeatedly deman...

Re: OVPN on new versoins ROS 6.0 and 5.1...

I will, again, add a vote for OpenVPN UDP support in RouterOS. It's caused me no end of problems. I switched to Mikrotik to gain access to a steady supply of low cost VPN routers, and lack of proper OpenVPN support is the only real problem I have (Other than weird sector write issues and now a freez...

Help with name resolution script.

I found the script by changeip on the forum, but my modification does not work. I need it to work on ovpn client rather than pptp-client. :if ([:resolve vpn.domain.com] != [ /int ovpn-client get [/int ovpn-client find name=ovpn-out] connect-to ]) do={/int ovpn-client set [/int ovpn-client find name=...

Re: Limitations?

Ok, cool, there is a workaround to allow the use of domain names, thanks for that.

Is there a workaround for pushing routes to openvpn clients?

I don't suppose there is any instructions on installing (thereby replacing routeros with) OpenWRT on an rb750?

Cheers, Mark.

Limitations?

OpenVPN. From what I have seen on the site, it states that the limitation is it only runs on tcp. What it does not say, is that it requires a certain configuration, which is probably not compatible with most existing configurations outside of the routeros world, ie, it uses username + password for a...
