Re: 1 Website (1 ip better) through proxy

The code i posted pretty much does that, if you want to define by ip address instead of a physical port, use: src-address=192.168.15.0/24 instead of in-interface=lan1 and so that you capture all ports just remove: dst-port=81 and to change the port that it is redirecting to just change: to-ports=8080

IPSec is more of a IP Security Policy, it doesn't tunnel information, just guarantees that the information is encrypted. You can add a IPIP tunnel so that you have you interface to manage.

How do you find IPSec difficult/confusing? You just need to setup a policy to only accept encrypted traffic from that ip address, setup and IPSec peer and if you want private addresses just add an IPIP tunnel. Quite simple and most secure IMO.

Yes, so if you have 3 x ADSL connections, and the provider wont work with you to aggregate the links, you cant do it alone. You can use PCC to separate connections and spread them over the 3 connections.

I assume that you have a current static ip and have been issued with a pool of ip addresses (in a different subnet to your current static ip). if so all you need to do is assign one of the addresses in the pool to your interface and then the rest of the addresses to the clients.

i am not 100% sure but ut may be because the USB ports on the RB493G and the RB411UAHR are not powered and you need to use a power injector, maybe. You can just use a powered usb hub.

Re: RB411 shutdown itself at random

According to the spec sheet - http://routerboard.com/index.php?showProduct=38 - it says that the operating range is from -30 to 60. is it maybe getting to cold? I am from a hot climate so never had the problem of stuff getting too cold, always to hot. Could the rebooting be a symptom of being too co...

If you want to have a network which isn't authenticated and and network that is then you will need either another ethernet adaptor or a managed switch and then setup vlans.

Re: v4.16 released

I've just installed 4.16 on a RB112 - seems fine except that I can't get a working 'new terminal' either from within Winbox or telnet from outside, so can't upgrade the firmware. (I think it was from v3.30.) "New teminal" brings the terminal screen up and the MT logo after a 5 sec. hang b...
