Re: LHG 60 does not connect at 2150m with los and perfect weather :(

could you tell me the version that you are using? I couldn't even scan it at all! Any special considerations for installation? It is my first LHG installation They have been up and running for some time, and not upgraded. Versions are 6.44beta61 (1600m) and 6.46.3 (2080m). Select highest available ...

Re: LHG 60 does not connect at 2150m with los and perfect weather :(

Running Wireless Wire Dish 2080m, today is snowing and signal -60, speed 1155. Normally -58 and some 1800-1900.
Also 1600m with -55 and 2310 at 64800, even in same snow as above.

Re: Feature Request: SAFE MODE time based

Anything happened here? I am relatively new to Mikrotik, and are used to a system with Save and Activate as two independent choices. Combined with ping watchdog I was able to move a client from one AP to another, and be absolutely sure that if I did something wrong, or the client didn't connect with...

Safe mode? Watchdog?

How to safely move a remote wireless MT client from one AP to another? I am used to software with Save and Activate as two independent actions, and combined with ping watchdog making it possible to automatically undo changes in case of failure. Scenario: Two APs, AP1 and AP2 with different ssid and ...

Re: 60gHz link with 5gHz failover + Scotch Whisky

Only tested, never implemented OLSR, but it could be an interesting option here. Not supported by Mikrotik (in fact, almost nobody does). My experience with 60GHz (1.6km) is stable connection, only very heavy rain&fog giving trouble 30 min twice a year. What I could see, was that link changed a ...

Re: Long range connection

I am new to Mikrotik, so others know better difference between nv2 and 802.11. You can use either, but nv2 is Mikrotik only. My point was that 5Mbps is fairly low demand, so older systems might be OK. You need long distance, not high throughput. And for long distance, lower frequenzy (2.4GHz) is bet...

Re: Long range connection

With a demand of only 5Mbps and rural position, what about 2.4GHz? Single pol omni antenna 12-15dbi and 11n 1x1? Even 11b will give 5Mbps.

Re: LHG in snowstorm

Yes, I realize how it will look. Does anybody have any hands-on experience with the LHG under such difficult climate conditions? Quite some price difference up to DynaDish for client use.

LHG in snowstorm

Looking at LHG 5ghz units for some remote clients in a mountain area, and wonder how they works (physically) in areas with much snow and wind? Are the plastic strong enough? Does it fill up with snow?
