Re: Dude file transfer.

Hi lebowski, thanks for the reply.

The syslog file I'm looking for is the one I just copied and transferred on the dude server, not the local syslog file in the location you mentioned in your reply.

Dude file transfer.

Might be a stupid question, but in Dude when you copy the syslog file and it transfers, where does it go?

I've searched my mac and also ftp'd into the dude machine, but can't see the file.

Thanks,

Barry.

Two Radius

Hi,
If you have two radius servers setup and an account isn't found on the first radius server, will it look at the second?

Thanks,

Barry.

Syslog

Hi,

I have the syslog (in Dude) set to start a new file everyday, its been running for a few weeks now and it's still using the same file.. Is this just a another bug in Dude?

The device is a RB1100Hx2 running a hotspot and dude saving the files to an SD card.

Thanks,

Barry.

Hi nick3dos,

Could you post the code from the email script, not sure if I'm spacing things correctly as it's not running.

Thanks,

Re: Export user - email script

Hi nick3dos,

Thanks for your time on this.

I would like to save the output of ip hotspot users print, but the file would need reset after sending the email. The hotspot is in a shopping mall and it's set to give an hour free reset after 12hrs.

thanks.

So if I understand correctly now, I run this script every time someone logs in and it increments the number in the txt?

Re: Export user - email script

Hi nick3dos, Thanks for the reply. If it's possible I'd rather have the text file with the user list emailed, so I can send it directly to the site owner and they can then import to excel for their reports. They wouldn't know how to use FTP and I would have to do it for them. Do you think this is po...

Export user - email script

Hi, Thought i'd be better posting this under scripting.. I've setup a hotspot that supplies free internet using the trial option and I would like to get some info (like how many users have logged on daily), but because they are trial accounts (and not saved in Userman) I can't run any reports. I wou...

Re: Hotspot redirect does not work when initiating a "HTTPS"

Is there anyway round this?

A lot of people use google as their homepage and using https://, so whenever they open their browser they're not getting redirected to the login automatically.

Re: Wireless Probe

Hi Lebowski,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm just learning to setup the dude and have configured some basic alerts to get email notifications if an AP goes offline.

The info you posted, does it probe the wireless on Mikrotik AP's as it mentions Cisco & Solectek?

Is it possible to setup a wireless probe to send an alert if the wireless signal drops below a set threshold?

Re: User Manager v4.0 test package

The annoying thing is that it seemed totally random, we could have sold five plan/profiles and then one will get the primary key error. The first weekend when everyone starting really using our service and we sold around 100+ plans, I was stuck to my laptop checking accounts asap when a PayPal email...

Re: Which Billing System Is The Best ???

I tried using User-Manager, and everything went well in testing, then fell apart when it went live. We had maybe 100 people purchase time with Paypal on the first weekend and every other account wouldn't create or if it did create, it didn't get the profile added. I was getting loads of primary key ...
