Re: 6.20 release candidate special version

No news about the glitch on IPv6 routing over VLAN on PPC? (Ticket#2014032466000943)
I think that issues on IPv6 should be addressed due to the IPv4 exhaustion.

Re: v6.13 released!

So, the trunk is NOT 802.3ad. BTW, I have a Dynamic Link Aggregation from a HP V1910 and a Planet Switch working just fine... And V1910 and MT Bond. Thanks! I believe 802.3ad specs cover both SLA and dynamic. Took me quite a while of trial and error before I got my Teaming on my Intel Pro/1000 PT D...

Re: v6.13 released!

Anyone tried 802.3ad (trunk) on CRS? With 2 CRS-125 it worked fine but when trying to connect with a HP V1910 (Link Aggregation / Dynamic) I can't get the ports to sync using the new "trunk" option on CRS. Also I tried to sync CRS's trunk with CCR's bond with no luck. The BOND feature syn...

Re: PPPoE: slow downloads, fast upload

Have we reached the limit of a switched network? I will take down have the network tomorrow night to see if this has an effect to the speeds.
My suggestion is exactly this. You should test with fewer users.

400+ users behind 1 switch is kind a stretch, don't you think?

Re: v6.4 released

Is anyone else seeing issues with DHCPv6 client in v6.x? Immediately after upgrading to 6.0 my RB2011 was unable to obtain a v6 lease, the client just says "searching..." I've upgraded to 6.4 and still have the same problem. I didn´t see a problem with the DHCPv6 (PD) client, but the serv...

Re: v6.4 released

After I upgraded my Access Concentrators I saw a problem with high CPU usage, but only with the PowerPC ones.
The DHCP process was occupying all available CPU. After I disabled the DHCP package, the CPU usage returned to normal.
The problem is I use the DHCP process for the IPv6 PD.

Re: 6.3 Released

I found a problem with the new traceroute tool. My backbone provider uses an MPLS network with private addresses and this means I can't 'see' the network from another router other than the border router. The new 'mtr' behaviour is stopping the tracing after 3 lost hops. Thanks in advance! Carlos Str...

Re: v6 RC2 released

I don't know if anybody saw this but since 6.0rc1 my internal firewall is misbehaving with masquerade. It has several IP addresses, because I have some fixed NAT's, but it would always pick the first (main) address (ordered 0 on /ip address print). Since rc1 (now tested with rc2) it keeps selecting ...

Re: RouterOS v5.8 released

sup guys, tried to use pools for ipv6 over PPPoE, but aren't working in my case if I set the prefix directly on user secret, it works okay.. but if I set a pool on profile, and remove the prefix at user secret, the v6 CIDR aren't routed to ppp interface by mikrotik, as it should happens. :( someone...

Re: PPPoE Server dropping connections

blakelock, No, I haven't have a clue yet of what's happening. On my case, the bridge changes state, dropping all PPPoE connections with it. I think it's related to something on the network because it happens every day. Every day around the same time (give or take a few minutes). Curiously, it happen...

Re: PPPoE Server dropping connections

There might be different factors that cause disconnect of PPPoE users. First of all check logs /log print for the reason, user was disconnected from PPPoE server. I was configuring the external log to check exactly that. The disconnect was like this: Sep 22 08:00:17 fw-saj12 PPPOE: <05d8>: LCP lowe...

PPPoE Server dropping connections

We have an unusual problem here. Our clients connect using PPPoE for authentication. Some of our RouterBoards (with RouterOS's ranging from 4.13 to 5.7) simply drop the connections, forcing everyone to reconnect. It happens every day around the same time (like if it was generated by a client). Is th...
