Re: Max Entries: 524288 Only on x86!?

Can someone or somebody from Mikrotik help me with this?

Has someone managed to run RouterOS on enterprise or ISP level with thousands of users without reaching this limit? Can you please share?

I really need your help here. Thank you very much.

Re: Max Entries: 524288 Only on x86!?

You can/must decrease default retention timer, For example, the default 1 day for a TCP-IP estabilished connection, for me is too high... Must be only 6 hours... For example 6H at 1Mbit/s =21Gbit for one single TCP connection... UDP stream timeout default are 3 min, also this for me is too high... ...

Re: Max Entries: 524288 Only on x86!?

RouterOS 6.18 on x86 with 4GiB of real memory can not see more than 2GiB of memory (1894.2 MiB), RouterOS use ~1MiB for each 1.792 connection. 1894 x 1.792 = 3.394.048 But you really need connection tracking only if you firewall, NAT or masquerade anything... The router fast path do not use connect...

Max Entries: 524288 Only on x86!?

Hi, I am testing a x86 hardware with the latest RouterOS installed. I have a lot of free cpu & ram left as attached, but the max entries stay the same no matter how I test it. According to normis at this thread , and what about conntrack max-entries? this number doesn't automatically increase ju...

Re: RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN Questions Topic

Earlier I conducted a small test before putting an RB211L-IN to work, see here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?p=326665#p326665 - I admit it's somewhat vague, but should present a general picture of what to expect. It's performing better than my RB450G, anyway. Thank you very much. I get t...

Re: RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN Questions Topic

Could any of you please provide the NAT and Switching performance via iPerf? I tried iPerf on my RB433GL and RB493G. The RB433GL has very poor performance on everything. No wonder it's low cost model. RB493G is alright, but not great! I only only get 2XX Kbps on NAT and 4XX Kbps on switch chip. I do...

Re: Availability of the RB751G

I'm waiting for RB751G as well. I would get RB435G if there is an indoor case. My usage, for now, is small. However, I will expand it wider and move RB435G outdoor eventually. At least, that was my plan. Mikrotik did not take adaptability into account at all. One thing I don't understand is why Mikr...

Re: HELP needed for WDS and DHCP on RB493G

For WDS.... Does your Belkin support WDS??....your Wireless interface in your RB should be in mode=wds-slave and select the wds-mode and the bridge where the wds link will be working, you have to create a bridge add the wireless and ethernet interfaces to it, create a wds link (it can be created di...

HELP needed for WDS and DHCP on RB493G

First of all, I currently have a Belkin ADSL2+ wireless router. I'm trying to setup a WDS connection on RB493G. Therefore, my far away PCs can access Internet through RB493G wired or wirelessly. Here is a simple topology diagram. http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/2978/rb493g.png I asked the same qu...
