Re: SXT 5HnD asymmetric throughput

What is the CPU usage like on both SXT's when performing these tests?

Re: OmniTIK and RB711-2n

So are we going to see an RB711-A-2Hn?

Or are we easily able to obtain a Level 4 license for the RB711-2Hn, so that we can do AP mode?
I asked MT sales that question when we ordered our RB711-2Hn stock and they said they are working on it.

Tom
Excellent, thanks :)

Re: RB411UAHR 3G Antenna???

where can i find the 3G GSM Antenna on the RB411UAHR??? also can i just plug any 3G GSM SIM card in the RB411UAHR and start using it?? I think you are mistaken, the RB411UAHR provides the SIM slot, so that you can plug in a minipci-e 3G radio to communicate with the 3G network. The only radio the R...

Re: OmniTIK and RB711-2n

*chants* What do we want? Groove 2Hn When do we want it? As fast as humanly and production line possible! I know we can assume the Groove 2Hn will be on its way, but any guide lines? Also, 711-A-2Hn? No Level4 version? Any reason? Really excited to see the 711- 2Hn has a much more powerful rad...

Re: RB/SXT

Nice job :D I would like to see 2 bigger versions of SXT. One with a high gain dual pol directional antenna and one with a 90degree dualpol sector. Then I do not need a dual rb711. Both with a metal shield in the back of course :D Thanks :) Yeah we would love an SXT with maybe a 22 or 26dBi antenna...

RB/SXT

Seeing as the other thread was locked... not sure why. With the lack of Dual RB711 at the moment, we hacked an RB/SXT to allow us to connect larger, more directional antennas :) http://www.air-stream.org.au/files/SXTMod-10-MMCXMounted4.jpg http://www.air-stream.org.au/files/SXTMod-13-PCBreBoxed2.jpg...

http://www.titanwirelessonline.com/PacWireless-24V-PoE-Surge-p/pe-24vs.htm Have you tried without a 'smart sensing POE injector' ? We have a few out there as well, all on either 24V Plug packs or 24V Switching Power supplies and none have died. But they are all using 'dumb' poe injectors as such, i...

For those still not quite grasping the size of the Groove, here is a shot side-by-side with the Ubiquiti Bullet2 which a few people have come across in their travels as they have been out a while.. http://www.air-stream.org.au/files/Bullet-v-Groove-1-Side-By-Side.jpg Of course as soon as the Groove ...

Re: Basic R52Hn questions

Thanks. I guess I'll stick with the airport for now. I was attracted by the potential increase in coverage through the use of external antennas and 5 db more power, and I have a potential use for VAP, but I'd want simultaneous dual band, and I definitely will be using it as a multi-client base. Are...

Re: RouterBOARD Groove

Well I've given it a shot in Direct-To-Dish mounting. EDIT: Performance is equal, if not better than the RB711 setup, 10MB/s Up and 10MB/s Down. Fantastic Unit! -Right at this moment we've noticed about a 20% decrease in RX performance to the RB711 that was on the same dish, but I stupidly forgot to...

Re: Mikrotik STX Channel width problem

I've tried it and it still does not show 40Mhz option. May it be that it is hidden since the device is using Mikrotik L3 licence. When I'm searching the problem in the Google, most commom solution is to change HT-extended channel option but in my case this isn't helping. I will try to upgrade the s...

And now a b/g version would make a lot guys happy too!
At least I can then get rid of these bullets.
First the 711-2Hn then I'm sure we'll see a Groove-2Hn :D

Re: Basic R52Hn questions

1. What does the R52Hn come with? Will I need to purchase pigtails to bring the antenna jacks to surface of my case (the Mikrotik RB493 case with the 3 holes on the side)? It comes by itself, a single card in an anti-static bag. It has 2x MMCX Connectors, so you'll need MMCX->* (whatever you are tr...

Re: 802.11n

For months I have tried to get laptops with wireless N cards to associate to Mikrotik router using 802.11n - but it seems only possible to connect using b/g. I have tried endless configurations without success. Is Mikrotik 802.11n only designed to connect to other MTs? I can see no other threads ot...

Re: my little box design - hope its success when on air!

Heh, Looks good. Couple of things, Plastic boxes, so I hope you have some extra grounding for the board to your mast/groud. Also, Are they powered cards without antennas? I hope they were not powered for long. Other than that, nice neat layout, always nice to see people taking care in there ...

Re: 802.11n

you can also try the Btest tool from PC to PC, more control over the kind of traffic you test: http://www.mikrotik.com/download/btest.exe Yeah, it needs an update though so you can specify multiple streams instead of just running 10 instances :) We also aligned today and now top 11.7MB/s :) Need Gi...

Re: 802.11n

Long time reader, first time poster. You know how it goes :) Been playing with 802.11n for the past year or so, but I thought i'd drop some info on the latest test link I setup. Using RB711A's with 26dB Grid Antennas. We're yet to fully align as our weather has been horrible, but the single stream 8...
