RB1200 and 3 RB433APS - High Latency Pings / Unusable setup

Hi All Im having some huge problems with what should be a very simply setup. I cant post the config as ive reset to defaults (again) to try and see if I was doing something wrong. Re: Fetch to variable

I was pretty sure it wasn't possible, which is a shame.

I'll stick to writing to a file then - If i only send a reply from the HTTP server when it has something for the router/AP then I just have to figure out how to stop the MT saving a zero length wget reply to a file.

There is a bug with HWMP+ where clients connected via WiFi have their MAC address added to the Mesh FDB as being LOCAL, but this FDB never expires, and is not removed when they disconnect. Pinging from the PPTP server works because it will pick 172.16.3.1 as a source address (closest to the destination) and has routes to 192.168.250.0/24, and the remote router has a route to 172.16.3.1 in its routing table. Once we see the pptp link is up from a remote site, we can tunnel in and put our local computer on the remote's subnet and then access the "foreign" router as if we were local.
I saw something on the WiKi that sets the remote route at time of connection which may save you a step in that process.

Having never used sectors before, i wondered if someone could provide rough expectations on the distance I could expect to get from a 120deg sector or panel (circa 16-20db) to a client laptop in clear sight, over a beach. No interference from other wifi service. I realise the laptop/smart phone is t...

To fit more than 100 users in a AP, you have to move to 5ghz. Its better for this! If its not possible, use good antenas and diferent true channels. Also, you need to disconnect your 2.4ghz competitors from electricity.. xD No other WiFi in a 1 mile range at least, 2.4g and 5g is totally free. I wi...

Re: Dual Radio HotSpots / Backhaul: Will Pay

It depends on your definition of 'roaming'. A normal station can only hold one connection at a time. So when it moves over to another AP with a stronger signal it actually drops the connection with the old AP completely, and only then begins the association/authentication process with the new AP.
