Re: v6.10 released

I have not updated any of our production routers but did update my home RB450G to 6.10 and my bt infinity PPPOE internet connection went from 90Mbps Down and 20Mbps up with ping latency of around 18ms to 0.15Mbps down and up with pings of over 300ms. Restoring to 6.7 has resolved the issue. The rout...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

We are now using a CCR-1036 as our firewall/internet gateway and we are very impressed We have 2000 users with 5-600 concurrent on a 100mb WAN and 250 firewall rules, 20 NAT rules, 20 mangle rules, OSPF, PBR to caching box and PPTP VPN 10 PCQ Queues I have to say that for the money this device is am...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

We now have a CCR-1036 in production, all has been working well for a week now on 6.rc13 I decided to add a few queues which worked fine for around an hour (queue tree, 6 child queues matching packets for priority with queue type ethernet-default.) The whole queue service appears to have crashed whi...

Re: In Game issue.

Interestingly, I have a RB450G at home and for about 18 months I could not access Channel 4OD but it worked everywhere else i tried it. ( i was on old ROS 4 though ) During this time i had absolutely no other issues with my internet connection and all other streaming media worked fine. When updating...

Re: RB2011UAS-RM - auto negotiation problem

Dont know if this is helpful to you but my RB450G is connected to the BT supplied VDSL modem and auto negotiates at 100mb full duplex on port one.

This has worked fine for me from day one and i get my full download/upload bandwidth.

Re: rb2011 - poor performance with uk bt infinity

I have BT Infinity and connect the open reach modem directly to a RB450G on port 1. then have a PPPOE client enabled with the BT username/pass The link speed to the VDSL modem is 100mb. I get betweeen 70 - 100mb download and 10-20mb upload and find it works very reliably. I was only quoted 60mb down...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Some of you are using these in production though right? Are there any major issues? Do they still require regular reboots? I just dont want to buy a 1100AH2 to then end up buying a CCR a few months down the line, i will if i have to but im willing to take a chance if there are not any known bugs wit...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

500users - haha Recommend RB1200 or 1100AH - no difference if you have only 50Mbit WAN up to 150Mbit For more there is sense to think about CCR 2000 users - upto 500 concurrent. also 10 regular VPN users. We are aware that those models may well be up to it, but from what i've heard they don't scale...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

We are looking to replace our existing firewall in 2 weeks time. I would like to know if the CCR is stable enough yet for a few firewall rules a few nat rules on a 50mb wan connection with upto 500 concurrent users. I know this is vague and difficult to answer but i need to make an order today and i...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

We are looking for a replacement for our microsoft TMG server as it has been nothing but trouble as our network has expanded past 2000 users and its running on crappy windows software. As a home user of a RB450G i think that the CCR would be perfect for the school i work for My question is if we bou...
