Re: HELP! HTTP Probe Died

OK Config above was not stable Did a device count (approximate). I show a total 0f 1, 960 devices on approx 100 maps. Some devices are static showing ISP info. If I'm monitoring 80% of that total, the number is 1,568. I've disabled polling on all wireless access points and things seem to have stabil...

Re: HELP! HTTP Probe Died

I Had probe interval set to 30 seconds; acting on hundreds of devices. Possible flooding problem? Anyway, I disabled 30 network maps and saw things slowly come back online. I set probe interval to 5 minutes at system level and re-enabled maps and will set higher priority devices individually to a lo...

Re: Dude v4beta3 released

When you get a network map that's "stuck" loading like that, create a second map. If the second map works, delete the first.

Re: New Network map only says 'loading'

I recently had this problem with 4.0beta2.
Found that if I left the map at default, I was able to create a new map that worked. Then deleted the map that says "loading:.

HELP! HTTP Probe Died

4.0Beta2 Don't really want to try an upgrade yet. We monitor multiple networks that are not connected to ours. Remote Routers accept inbound port numbers (88xx) and forward to port 80 at each device IP.. Devices Inside our lan is affected as well as remote networks. Have power cycled Dude server (co...

Re: IP / Port Forwarding Help

Only one firewall filter: to block icmp I can use web proxy to access same host and port on same ethernet ports. Besides dst-nat for forwarding, only NATting done is outbound masquerade. I'm testing w/ web browser; place ip_address:port number in address bar. Whenever I try to access the host, I se...

Re: IP / Port Forwarding Help

Is that forwarding to an internal web server? Normally I use "to-ports=80", not 81. Just a thought.
I'm forwarding to a Win XP Dude Server.

Re: IP / Port Forwarding Help

Are there firewall filters in the way? Is the host firewall permitting that traffic through? Are the NAT rules counting packets? How are you testing? Change packet IP

I'm using an MT as a diagnostic device connected to a network where other router brands (Required Router) are required by the customer. The MT is connected into the system at the first (core) switch under the Required Router using ether3. The MT has a public static IP on ether1. This IP is in the sa...

Re: Dude Agent, Again

Ok, I was able to get that. Program a device onto a map with the IP of the subnet it's located in and select the appropriate agent. Problem; SNMP works when accessing Dude through the OS device (routerboard), it works when using the Dude tab of the Routerboard-device, but does not work with the devi...

Re: Dude Agent, Again

if you have TheDude install on the RB500 you can connect to it with the client, add all your devices and it will continue to monitor, even after you exit from the client. Understood. My Dude knowledge is a little more advanced than that. You haven't answered the question. What does the Agent do for...

Dude Agent, Again

I asked this before. What is Dude agent for? I have an RB500 setup with Dude installed. Works fine. I have a local Dude server with a device set to monitor Dude on the RB500. I get the Dude Tab in Device Settings and it displays Dude. It does this whether I have an agent assigned or not. What is the...

Suggestion

I've searched the forum and have found answers that say this is not possible at this time. I'd like to see the capability to have a script control a telnet session. We have remote reboot devices (PDU) installed in our networks, but when gateway goes down I can't power cycle any device. This means lo...

Re: failver over internet, I am lost..

I have have two config files (normal.backup and fail.backup) loaded on my RB500. I Use Netwatch to monitor the gateway on ETH1. When it goes down, I have Netwatch run a command to load the fail.backup file, which now routes everything out ETH3. Netwatch in the fail file is programmed to load the nor...

Re: RESOLVED What's an agent for?

Found it. Info is shown in setting a device up manually instructions. First setup the Agent which is basically the IP of the remote server. In Device Settings, in General Tab, select the newly created agent and click the Dude Server checkbox. A new Tab appears for that device, named Dude. If you cli...

Re: What's an agent for?

Did you read this? http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:The_Dude/Agents You can add devices to your map that are not directly reachable, for example devices in your office LAN, if the GW has an agent. I have read that multiple times. Here's what I'm looking at. I have a PC at a remote location with...

Re: Dude script to schedule reboot of some devices.

I like to use http://www.autohotkey.com/ for scripting. Very powerful, flexible, and easy to use if you're at all familiar with scripts.

The sendkeys function will "talk" to a telnet session.

RESOLVED What's an agent for?

Can someone describe what having an agent will do for me? I understand I can create a Dude server at offsite locations and connect with Dude Client, but how does the offsite server (agent) interact with my Dude server here at the office?
Thanks in advance....

Resolved: DHCP

Noobie; been working w/ dude for over a year. My company wants me to evaluate using Routerboard as an emergency backup and I want to use Dude as an agent. Q: Should I get an IP from DHCP just by setting up DHCP Server, Pools, and a Local Network IP? (I don't). Would someone be so kind as to provide ...
