Correct way to add VLANs to Bridge

Hello What is the correct way to add tagged ports to VLANS on bridge? Should I add the VLAN interface or the physical port (sfp-sfpplus1 in this case), or both as in the picture? sfp port is part of bridge1 http://www.elisanet.fi/~wl1764319/demo.jpg And same question for Bonds (802.3ad). The bond is...

Re: SwOS version 2.11 released!

CRS328 unavaileable from network when booting SwOS. Console shows a small menu, with reset options etc. No liks are up (LED off) and no IPs are accessible (static or DHCP)

Edit/update: started working. Do not know what caused this

Re: RouterOS PHP API class

What about the upcoming 6.43 version? Does this break as the API authentication process seems to have changed? (I do not install/test release candidates)

Re: RouterOS PHP API class

Solved: I needed to add "winbox" in "Policies" for my user group that I call API. In the past it was enough to have read, write and api rights for the group. Something has changed in the new version regarding access rights or user groups that caused this. Winbox has nothing to do...

Re: RouterOS PHP API class

Did this break with the latest update 6.42.4 (2018-Jun-15 14:14)? I have been using it for years and now it fails at login. I do not see in change log anything that would affect this...?

Re: SwOS version 2.7 released!

I've just bought CSS106-1G-4P-1S. Upgraded it immediately to 2.7. Problem: it auto-negotiates 100Mbit Full to the following devices: CAP ac SXT Lite5 ac Samsung TV All of them are 1Gbit Full rated. Forcing it does not help. Auto-negotiate works fine (1Gbps) for the following: SXTsq 5 ac Laptops What...

Re: System Identity - two part name?

You are right that it might be also the syslog-ng cutting out the first part of the name/identity. I'm unable to debug that.

When unchecking BSD option the indentity is not shown at all on syslog.

System Identity - two part name?

When specifying a system identity with a singe word, for example: router , it does not show up in remote syslogs. But when I type an identity that contains one space, example: Firstname Lastname the "Lastname" shows up in the remote syslog. Is this a feature or a bug? Example 1 from syslog...

Re: What hardware to cover island?

Or another idea : more like your current setup (only one card for all antenna) : - one RB922UAGS-5HPacD : with a dual-chain AC controller integrated, SFP+eth - one R11e-5HacD additionnal (mini pci-e) wireless card - and 2 external antenna (TBD) I like this idea! What would be the optimal (cost effe...

Re: What hardware to cover island?

Also there is a small possibility for that ethernet cable to be replaced with a singlemode fiber in the future. Currently there is a media converter at the base of the lighthouse converting it to copper and causing and unnecessary SPOF

Data from unknown hot, sent deauth spam

My log is full of this: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~uzzi/random/routeros.png It seems the device spamming does not understand deauth or something? I am using Access list and this device is not allowed. If it is a phone i guess the battery on it is draining fast... Any way to stop this behavior? Using ...

Tanks! I'll contact them next week.

I have one more question: how do I configure ether3 with wlan1 so that they are in the same network and receiving the same DHCP? Bridging?

Re: Internet not working. Trying to create a gateway

I figured it out. This is what I received from our ISP: our IP: x.33.31.45 GW: x.33.31.17 255.255.255.240 Is that even possible? Netmask /28 is only for 16 IP-addresses. How is it that the GW is then 28 IP:s "away". I put netmask /26 and it started working. Is this right or should I contac...

Re: Internet not working. Trying to create a gateway

I have reset the router to "factory settings". What do I need to do in order to get it working like this: 192.168.11.x (ether3) --> NAT --> PublicIP (ether2) I also noticed that the green led by the other (other than ether1) interfaces is not active. Only te orange one is blinking. Normal?

Internet not working. Trying to create a gateway

I'm trying to create a wireless AP/gateway. I have one public IP from ISP in ether2. RouterOS: 4.17 RouterBOARD: 493G What am I doing wrong? http://www.saunalahti.fi/~uzzi/linked/untitled.JPG I have 3 wlan-adapters in it. DHCP works but no routing is happening. What is unreachable in this case (see ...

Sending access-list to the router

I've got the RB493G board with 4.16 OS. We keep a list of all "customers" and their MAC-addresses on an PHP/MYSQL database. I'm using SNMP to get some details to the page and to get detailed details I use the PHP API found on the wiki (slower than SNMP). My question is: how would you send/...
