New 504 switch, Fault light on, no logs? What is wrong?

Got a new 504 upgraded today to 7.14.2. Red fault light still on. Nothing in logs or Health to indicate why. Does anyone know how to figure out what it's trying to report? It does seem like the fans are not running even when board temp is around 68C, so maybe the fans are DOA. But how do I know that...

Re: SwOS Lite version 2.14 released!

We need a fix for SFP negotiation now. As of release 2.14 GPEN21 and maybe others won't auto negotiate correctly with certain generic lasers in them. Using a very old 20km Mikrotik branded laser works. Using 2.13 version works with any laser. Using 2.14 does NOT work with just about any laser we hav...

Well, yeah, a lot has happened in a year with this. We upgraded to 6.48.2 recently (last month) and that has been pretty stable. It also opened up the ability to use channel 66000, but on the clients you have to add it to the channel scan for it to pick up. That does help a bit with another higher c...

Here is one of my servers (of many on the same Mikrotik CCR) handing out DHCP addresses on CGNAT IP Pools. I'm only having this problem in layer2 areas where I have UI equipment installed though. I think the shields are worth it.

They helped with a bit of isolation between stations, kept clients more locked on to their respective AP's.
They also allowed us to add some up or down tilt to focus in towards lower or higher areas. Mounting is just better with them.

crs125-24g-1s Performance more than 200Mbps NAT/Masquerade?

I've got a few of these and very simple NAT setup, all switched, no bridge-default.

The most I can get through it TCP is about 180Mbps down and 110Mbps up.

Is this normal for this single core routerboard?

Re: 24 Port RouterBoard with mostly SFP cages??

I would like to have at least two SFP cages ... my Christmas wish I guess. pcunite, they already have several routerboard products with two or four SFP cages. But if you are talking about the 2011 series, then yes, it would be good to have two SFP cages in a version of that as well. I need 20+ SFP ...

24 Port RouterBoard with mostly SFP cages??

Doing an active ethernet fiber to the home project. Would really like to use a RouterBoard SFP "switch" instead of a Dell 6000F series. Is there any indication that there will be a 24 port SFP switch with a few 1000GB copper ports? Sort of the opposite of the new CloudCore 24 port routers?

Is RouterOS DFS implemenation same for every chipset?

Does the DFS/DFS2 radar detect in RouterOS operate the same for every wireless card/chipset, or does it call down into some code on the chip/card itself to run DFS software?

In other words, can I find a 'better' DFS implementation using a different wireless card with RouterOS?

Re: Idiot (me) needs help creating static route on version 4

Thanks, I figured it out. My problem was I had the preferred source (and remote gateway) on a VRRP interface. Apparently you cannot use static routing on VRRP. So I had to assigned the Preferred source to the actual interface, not the VRRP interface and it worked. That sort of breaks VRRP because th...

Idiot (me) needs help creating static route on version 4.16

I don't know what the hell changed, but going from 3.x to 4.16 really blows. I imported my settings and none of my static routes work. I just want to route a subnet 209.41.78.64/27 through to a gateway 208.53.48.254 (which is pingable on the router since it has 208.53.48.253 on it). How do I create ...
