Re: Using Splunk to analyse MikroTik logs 2.7 (Graphing everything) Topic is solved

Interesting.

I may implement this in ver 2.8 :)
Please do!
Do you have a beta of 2.8 yet, or is it imminent for release?

Re: Using Splunk to analyse MikroTik logs 2.7 (Graphing everything) Topic is solved

I created a dropdown to select rules on the Live Attack View. All my mikrotik prefixes start with either Allow or Drop - Such as DropPings, AllowDNS etc. Now I can quickly see the entire overview of my rules. The updated dashboard code is below: <form theme="dark"> <label>MikroTik Live attack</label...

Re: Bug in Log when rotate log (6.40.1)

This bug is still present in 6.45.1. I have reported the issue as a bug more than a year ago, how can this be escalated?

Re: Port knocking to enable all dst-nat rules from all src-addresses

Great, I wondered about that... I'm assuming that if the dst-address is no longer in the knocked address list, the firewall rule will block everything.
So I guess all my other rules should have dst-address list set to knocked
Thanks so much, I will try that!

Port knocking to enable all dst-nat rules from all src-addresses

I currently have a router setup with a multitude of dst-nat/forward chains and input chains to allow certain dst-nat activities when connecting to the correct port. Right now, these rules are always open for those with correct authentication and port numbers etc. I like port knocking setups in that ...

Re: Bug in Log when rotate log (6.40.1)

I too have experienced the same problem. I can confirm that this is a bug in the Firmware. To summarize: the log shows the following if it's the current day 08:15:56 the log shows the following if it's the next day feb/08/2018 08:15:56 ...But between 00:00:00 and 02:00:00 (because I'm at GMT+2), the...

VPN Killswitch

I have Policy Based Routing set up on my Mikrotik to Mangle certain packets and send those to a VPN connection using Routing Marks. The problem I have though, is that if the VPN disconnects, these packets will end up on the unencrypted link (failover to the default route) My intent however, is to co...

Re: 2 LANs, same broadcast subnet?

Using this method: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks_using_MPLS I had to change the PPPOE interface to use Bridge1 to dial (I guess this is because ether1 is tied to bridge1) I am unable to connect from the internet to my pppoe-out interface though - to do port forwardi...

Re: 2 LANs, same broadcast subnet?

Would I still be able to: --use AP1 to connect to PPPOE via Ether1 - and allow everyone on either network to use internet --use AP1 to connect to another Network via Wlan2 (and NAT) - and allow everyone on either network to connect to that network --Port forward incoming traffic from Wlan2 to any ho...

2 LANs, same broadcast subnet?

Hi, I have the following setup: LAN1 ----- MikrotikLANPort -- MikrotikWANPort ------------------------- MikrotikWANPort -- MikrotikLANPort ---- LAN2 The wireless link in the middle is very close and very low latency, high speed. I would like to find out if I can make both LAN1 and LAN2 work on the s...

Re: Routing Assistance requested, please help

Any network attached to the router can by default route to any other network attached to the router. That explains a lot to me, I will follow your advice and use firewall rules instead. I would start by making Michaels and Johnnys networks different. EG: Michael = 192.168.1.0/24 Johnny = 192.168.0....

Re: Routing Assistance requested, please help

Thank you!
I'm currently mobile therefore the short reply, but could you give me some examples of what the firewall rules would look like while still allowing traffic to masquerade through the rb433?

I will post a proper reply once I am at a computer again
thanks for the prompt responses.

Routing Assistance requested, please help

Hi, I would like to ask for some assistance in a fairly complex (IMO :D) network setup I have with my mikrotik RB433UAH. I have attached a pdf drawing of what the network looks like. Right now, most of this already works, but I am not sure how to do access control to the internet or route depending ...
