Now you can do Bandwidth test (if you can ping remote address).

See that Authenticate is not needed (red square) and if you want authentication you can check box in previous window (see post above).

Mikrotik Bandwidth test can't connect error

I'm using SXT v5.26 and couldn't get bandwidth test to work. There was note "can't connect". I've tried to google for this problem but didn't find anything useful. And the problem was really simple. So here is solution: In the Tools open BTest Server and check Enabled tool bandwidth-server...

Scrip to shut/no shut interface if ping fail

I hope someone can help me with script for this scenario:

I use RB2011LS-IN and I would like to have scrip that:

Constantly ping from RB an ip address
If ping fail interface (for example GbE 1) is UP
If ping success interface (GbE 1) is DOWN

By default interface should be down.

Re: how much bandwidth do i need for 300 clients ?

You are being unrealistic. Skype is EQUAL upload and download. If each skpye video call is 300kpbs UPLOAD, then 30 skype users will saturate the 10mb upload... and that is assuming that no one else is using the internet. That's no where near 150 users. Have you seen this person's network? If not, h...

Thanks for the replies. I really have 120-150 customers at the same time who use SKYPE. my speed for the moment is 50mb down and 10mb up. Unlikely that from 300 users you have, half of them use Skype at the same time. 50mb down should be enough, upload is small. Most IP networks are designed for us...

Make your bridge transparent (in bridge put ports ethernet and wlan).
Put IP address into management VLAN, and management vlan put into interface bridge.

Then you can define on Catalyst what VLANS to enable.

Re: DFS Mode

I found this topic closest to my issue.. I was wondering, I have p2p links (only, where one side is bridge and remote is WDS slave). What I need to set exactly so my devices don't use one static frequency? dfs-mode (none | radar-detect | no-radar-detect; default: none) - used for APs to dynamically ...

Re: NLOS @ 5GHz

To create SNR graph is not problem. You need just a MIB's for signal and for noise then put them together. But the magic was in link availability :) Since Cacti take samples from a 5 min periods it's useless for instantaneous link loss that last for a second. Idea is to map Uptime in Registration ta...

Re: NLOS @ 5GHz

Hi WirelessRudy, thank you for your care. I've solved the problem, here what I did. Unfortunally, I can not get LOS from any place of the object but I put antenna on further wall of the object so I have better signal (I did this in the first place but I had errors). Mikrotik2.JPG I also get maximum ...

Re: Missing frequencies

only if you know what you do, only if these frequencies are allowed by your local laws. set up frequency on AP and on client add that custom frequency to scan list on the client. That is all. Yes, I need to move into this range so I can fulfill regulatory... What this add that custom frequency to s...

Re: NLOS @ 5GHz

that is due to antenna alignment. may be u need some more height. remember grid antennas have very less beam width. even 1 degree matters. I agree that more height is needed but already at max and can't get it higher. However, I can try to get better signal with alignment and I'll do that with firs...

NLOS @ 5GHz

I have P2P link (RB411AH) at 5GHz and almost a LOS (Program said it's LOS but in a fact it isn't)... I'm talking about meters at the distance of 3 km. Therefore I raise antenna (19 dB) a little higher (but now can't comfirm did LOS reached)... Anyway, I have a stable -66 dB signal (Tx strenght defau...
