I had the same issue on a RB711 with ROS 5.25. Upgraded to ROS 6.5, and problem solved.

Hi!

I use a ZTE LTE MF820D(i think) USB modem in a RB411U, and i get my data over a celluar network.
Now i have weak signal, but i still get 11,42 mbits download, and 10,02 mbits upload speed.

I tested it some days ago with ROS 5.21, and got a little over 30mbit upload and download speed, with standard wireless settings.
Works ok for me :)

I was in contact with Remik in ITElite costumer service, and he did offer a superb and fast support. I about to buy a PROSector dual pol antenna from them, and the price was very good :)

NEC have the auto-adjust-power-level feature, as it adjust the powerlevel to get the best signal. Ive missed that in ROS...

Here in Northern Norway we recently had a storm with heavy rain and snow. Ive considered using tape to patch the lid on the side, but I dont think is was necessary after looking inside the SXT...

Do you have tcp port 8291 open in your firewall?

The novatel u730 is supported on the PC/x86 platform, hence PCMCIA.
Many single USB sticks will work fine with the RB751, if you have the right settings from youre telecom operator.

Some operators dosent need any settings other than APN.. :)

All of my usb 3g modems is working, and some of them isnt on the supported hardware list...

I did not use HT extention channel, archived 98mbit udp, have not tested real life transfers...

Some days ago, i set up a line of sight PTP SXT link, distance was 100 - 150 meters.
TX power is 6 dBm and RX signal at both ends is around -64dBm.

No problems, fast, easy and low cost. (cant wait to see how it survives winther here in the arctic:)

In Console, I used "upgrade firmware over serial port", and in hypertrm i used transfer and protocol Xmodem. Firmware update was 32kb, and went fine, rebooted and the upgraded to ROS 5.2 via ethernet and Netinstall.

Hi! I have a electric power company that don't want to use wireless links in the license free 5 ghz band, because of security issues. The issues is mainly that the wireless data can easily be picked up and decrypted. They have this from the old WEP days, when wireless point to point links was new......

Problem solved. I've used Windows 7, and did see AirCard 881U in the device list.
