Re: PPPoE + OSPF = Discarding packet: locally originated

Nothings have changed in network topology:
no new router, no new links, no new switches...
Only upgraded routers.

Anyway, the error does not spread to more nodes, only to those 3.
I will check the configuration again, and / or install version 6.38

PPPoE + OSPF = Discarding packet: locally originated

Hi! Since upgrade to 6.39.3, lots of messages of this kind in logs. Nothings have changed in network topology, only upgraded routers to 6.39.3 (bugfix only). The message appears every time a user connects or disconnects from PPPoE. Each PPPoE server is in his own interface: i haven't bridges. I've 3...

About PPPoE and bridgeds APs

Sorry. I can't find any "good" solution. Sure i can't see it. My scenario (AP): RB (ether5) <----- NanoStationM2 AP (bridge) --------> clients (connecting via PPPoE) PPPoE Server w/o IP in ether5 Other scenario (backbone): | RB | | RB | WDS Sta(bridge) <--> ether1 ether5 <---> AP WDS(bridge) <---> W...

PPPoE distribution questions

I've a small routed network. Each router, mostly RB750, have his own APs (Nanostation M2 or Bullet) bridged to VPLS tunnel to PPPoE server in main router, RB450G. The main problem is this: ... user1 logged out, 5016 264953 82472 1091 955 <pppoe-user1>: terminating... - peer is not responding <pppoe-...

PPPoE Server in every RB or L2TP to main router ?

Hi! Actually i've some RB750 running as PPPoE server using radius from main router for AAA. Each RB750 has OSPF (with summarize) to propagate ptp routes. All is working for now :) The question are... ¿Is this correct and optimum? (for example: how see all connected clients? Now, i've to connect to e...

Question about PPPoE limits

Hi! Actually i've some RB750 with 3 Nanostation2M2 as AP (ether1,ether2 and ether3). ether4 and ether5 are used to connect to backhaul. Each RB750 have a PPPoE Server by AP (3 in most cases), using usermanager in other RB450G for AAA purposes. The simple queues are correctly created, and all work we...

QoS -after- PCC+PCQ question

I've two ADSL connections: ADSL-1: 10M down / 800k up ADSL-2: 10M down / 800k up I've very restricted upload... so QoS is very important to me. Until now, I've implemented PCC (using source address) + PCQ separating uploads. The question is: ¿How about QoS? ¿Where and how implement it? Option 1: Cre...

Ok. I can set a pool name in usermanager. For ex. user1=pool_1m, user2=pool_2m... and so. This is my installation: http://s2.subirimagenes.com/otros/previo/thump_6162911mikrotik.jpg MTK1 = Load balance PCC + QoS + User Manager MTK2 = 2x PPPoE Server MTK3 = 2x PPPoE Server Now, i'm doing simple queues in every rb750.
