Hi,

i've only seen this, after the firmware update from afaik 1.10 to newer ones, as the webinterface was changed. A power cycle solved it after that.

If you have a backup for this device, i would suggest trying the power cycle and keep the fingers crossed ;)

hmmm sorry, but that is an issue i have never had. Check, that you have the right version and hardware and try again, if it is now unresponsive, try bootp.

If it not helps, you should contact support (support"at"mikrotik.com)

that was an issue in 1.10 to 1.11 i think as there was the revised WebUI, this is somewhere in this forum also mentioned.

A user is shocked, if this happens, i know. I have the same issue and was also somewhat shocked :D

You should try to clear your browser cache, after update a power cycle should be enough normally. If you don't get it, write an email to mikrotik support and please, post the answer also here for others.

I have no issues with 1.10 on RB250GS and on RB260GS.

RB260GS has uptime: 42 days 21:39:14

Perhaps you should contact support through email (this forum is more a customer forum it seems, so emailing the support will be a better and quicker option for you).

Hello,

no, SwOs is only layer 2, so RVB250GS / RB260GS can not do this obviously. You should go for a ROS device.

Simply keep in mind, that SwOs is a managed Layer2 switch (Webinterface) i can not do any Layer3 things at this time (and a propose, the actual 2 products will never be ;)

in earlier firmwares, this may have been the case, i think it was never really fixed only "workarounded" by setting timeout higher.

I suggest, you contact the mikrotik guys through email directly and if you get something good back, please do not forget to post here also that ,)

Hi,

i have no ROS device, but the SwOS devices do not have untagged on a "trunk" port, so there are all tagged. If you choose an access port (no vlans at all, these are untagged of course.

Nice to see , that there are pre-release for open testing, Mikrotik FTW :)

I have upgraded my RB250GS from 1.7 to this 1.8 pre release, standard tasks are working as expected so far. I do not use acls, so i can not give feedback on this.

no, you simply have to set the "Maximum OID's Per Get Request" in Cacti accordingly. I have no issues with the default (10) and my RB250GS.
Try to change this setting to "1" and check how it goes.

But yes, this is definitly a bug. (already in my list included :) ).

1.7 installed on my RB250GS, works good, the management website was refreshed with a new css set i think, but no other visible changes.

I have no problems with the firmware and the changelog, all is readable and finde :)

I can confirm, that the snmp issues are fixed and now cacti for example is working correct without manual workarounds. THANKS !

Hi,

you can NOT route Traffic to your DSL Modem, the 250GS is a switch, so you need a router, for this task.
You could limit the two nets on port 2 and port3 with the ACL feature (to filter some traffic or so).

i have 1 switch at home, which runs stable, no issues so far. Have a look at http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=49646 there are bugs and also feature requests. STP is on the list, but will be a long term development process regarding mikrotik, so no firmware will be available quickly...
