Re: Hardware encryption on RB1100AH (not AHX2)

Wonderful! You have my money! And You can keep the hardware acceleration for Yourself, too. Too bad i looked only on the website when i ordered and payed for this. Do You ship the hardware feature separately, because i payed for it? I know it's a bad joke, but i payed. You should swallow the joke an...

Re: Mikrotik 3g watchdog

And i will give myself the answer, why not is possible: because we need another info-channel to be free on the modem itself. If not, then it's in use and we cannot send commands to the modem, being busy with the already ppp connection.

Re: Mikrotik 3g watchdog

Some of my modems are failing to reconnect when the 3g network goes down. If it stays on GPRS for more than 48 hours, there is a chance to freeze and the Mikrotik will become unreacheable. I have Sierra Wireless modems and the ones connected on 3g are not failing (yet). To get back the modem i have ...

Do you think this can be added in the future? What stops Mikrotik to support this?

Symantec Gateway Security 1620

Hello, i just installed RouterOS v5.5 on this 1 unit box and it's working nice, should i buy a license for it and use it, or should i throw it away? I am tempted to re-use this nice piece of hardware, in a prod. environment. What would You do with it (see below)? 3 Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 US...

Re: Help to RB411U with Sierra Wireless MC8790

It isn't mandatory for some operators and their smart sim cards, but it is safer to use them, in my country the old name of the Vodafone network was Connex and this name is still broadcasted, with the same network id, because there are still some old sim cards active in the network (i guess this is ...

Just tested reboot in 4.17. Great job Mikrotik it finally works. I've been rebooting 3 routers every 2 mins for whole weekend. I didn't get 1 shutdown, all 3 were still rebooting when I came to work today. ghiooo: Are you using sierra wireless mini-pcie MC8790? i do now. see here http://forum.mikro...

Re: RouterBoard 411U Supported 3G USB Devices

RB411UARH You can reset the power on the USB port aswell. How are you doing it? The RB411UAHR needs external power adapter for USB. If so, how do You reset the power? Any of Your answers, i have only RB411U. [admin@RB411U] > /system resource usb power-reset ERROR: USB power reset not implemented on...

Re: RouterBoard 411U Supported 3G USB Devices

I also had problems with usb 3G Modems in a RB433 and x86 machine they would have the same problem the modems would go down and have to reboot or unplug and reinsert to get them going again. Then bought a RB411U and a Sierra Wireless MC8780 miniPCI-E card a lot better then the usb dongles. never ha...

Re: RouterBoard 411U Supported 3G USB Devices

Thanks, i'll give Sierra Wireless a try. Anyone else luckier than me, regarding this problem? If a reboot could solve the problem on RB411U... but the USB port stays powered during the remote reboot.

RouterBoard 411U Supported 3G USB Devices

Is there any device that stays connected 24/7/365 (just for guidance, not strictly)? I am asking all of YOU because the wiki displays A LOT of devices, but testing just 2 of them, Huawei E220 and Vodafone K3765, with any firmware, either Vodafone or the original Huawei, either the stable 4.xx for Mi...

Re: Automatic RoS reboot at a specifit time

I still need help with the 411U, the moron is myself in this case :) I was in panic, that's all. Don't You know the first feelings coming when something worked but not anymore? Anger+panic (if it's very important). Sorry for being emotional, but that's how i am functioning :) Regarding v4.17, i had ...

Re: RB411U and 3G USB modem

No problem on the APN, it just cannot connect. After "initializing", it sends the "reseting link" followed by very slow responsive interface, packet loss on eth1, disconnection (problably because of the timeout).

Thank You!

Re: RB411U and 3G USB modem

i had 411u connected with a huawei e220. worked fine for 3 days, than went offline. i tried the v5rc10, still nothing, i can't get it to work. it stays on "reseting link" (probably meaning "reseTTing link"). but because worked fine for 3 days, i did the mistake to buy 3 more 411u...

Re: Automatic RoS reboot at a specifit time

my problem with 411u is worse, if it worked fine for 3 days, then i ordered 3 more boards of the same type, and now i had the time to read the forums. i am very dissapointed, my first 411u board is now disconnected and i really can't do anything, now i am using a backup connection and i tried everyt...
