Re: /ip/firewall/filter rules get overwritten by Webfig

Today I just had the same issue on ROS 6.2, RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN. After logging in by webfig, it cleaned my filter rules and also changed some other settings (mac-server, mac-winbox, etc., visible in logs). How can I contact support? Re: v6.0 released

Hi, I have the following problems after upgrading from 5.25 to 6.0:
1. Graphs for Memory and Disk Usage don't work, when I click on them I get this error: ERROR: NO ACCESS!
This one is also true for me, no resource graphs available for viewing.

Seeing v.6 at last is a nice thing, but it seems it was released too early. Anyone else suffering from "/system backup save" issues? The thing is that I had problems with earlier versions of RouterOS (v.5.2x) - it created broken backup files, which could not be restored. The behavior has changed in...

I came across memory usage reporting error using v.5.22 with web proxy enabled caching to RAM. Re: Adding a filter bar in torch

Thank you very much for the reports.
We will try to fix "F" in the upcoming versions.
Any plans regarding this issue? Will this be fixed or we shouldn't bother waiting?

Thanks,
Lukasz

RB450G, WAN loadbalancing and switch configuration

Hi!

I've got a question considering switch configuration on multiple-wan router. I've got three WAN uplinks connected to eth3, eth4 and eth5. LAN is on eth1 and eth2 (both bridged). Should I exclude WAN ports from switch?

Thx for all help in advance,
Lukasz

Re: graphs deleted after reboot on v.5.0 / slow NTP sync

Well, I did some tests with synchronizing NTP as fast as possible and the graphs stayed after reboot in 6 out of 12 tests. It looks like a random "feature".

Re: graphs deleted after reboot on v.5.0 / slow NTP sync

It really looks like NTP synchronization problems and data gets overwritten. Does anyone tested if changing store time to 1hr fixes the problem? NTP should be synced by that time...

Re: graphs deleted after reboot on v.5.0 / slow NTP sync

I also suffer from disappearing graphs ;-) Should we file a bug report? I'm running RouterOS 5.1.

Edit:
Once the graphs lasted after reboot, but only once. Since i did more than one reboot i'm not satisfied with the results...

Re: RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

Now, that is actually strange. I switched to dynamic IP pool, the problematic XP machine got the lease, i added it by 'lease make-static', changed 'address' to one i want, switched dhcp to 'static-only' and now it works

Re: Limit connection from host

@fekler,

what does connection-limit=200,32 stand for.

Explain this rule more please
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP ... Properties

connection-limit (integer, netmask) Restrict connection limit per address or address block

32 means a 32-bit netmask, so per-host restriction.

Re: RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

Have you added it manually (/ip dhcp-server lease add...) or have you used make static from dynamic lease? Also I'm testing with Win XP SP3 Professional, but i don't think it would make any difference.

Come on guys, am I the only one with such problem? :-(

So I diff'ed my and default configuration and I found nothing that would bring me near the solution. Any ideas why dynamic dhcp works fine for WinXP client and static does not?

Are you using only RAM for cache or perhaps microSD card?

Re: RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

IMHO windows XP does not use RFC compliant shcp client. And onl y lately they started to care about "those" documents on the internet. OK, so i just checked whether dynamic pool works and unfortunately it does. Meanwhile static-only works just for Windows 7 and *nix clients. Why is that?

Re: RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

Just add address-pool to your dhcp server.

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/DHCP_Server
What for? I want to use static-only leases. AFAIK there's no need for pool for that, I only need static leases set up in "/ip dhcp-server leases".

Re: RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

I admit I am also taking a few shots in the dark here. What happens if you uncheck "Always Broadcast"? This essentially stops the DHCP server from sending a broadcast check to see if an address is currently in use. Long shot, but worth a try. Nothing changes. There's no difference with "always-broa...

it looks like the XP machine is trying to renew an IP given to itself via Automatic Private IP address. Can you disable that setting and see if anything happens? [SOLVED] RB450G dhcp server not oferring leases

Hi! While configuring router for static leases only i encountered problems with Windows XP SP3 DHCP clients.
