Re: Assign RIPE own ip address to PPPOE Users

Setup OSPF between routers and assign routing filter with RIPE-NET/22 le 32 Each time client gets PPPoE IP ospf will forward the route to the main router and therefore your BGP or whatever protocol you are using will redistribute it. Here is sample config: Router 1: add area-id=0.0.0.1 name=area1 /r...

Re: 2 BGP Sessions custom setup

What BGP AS numbers are you using? Can you post your config?
Hi
Thank you for this answer.
I have already switched to OSPF and is working great.
I realized that for this to be achieved with BGP I have to use VRF which is too complex design for such a simple task.

Re: OSPF and PPPOE nightmare!

OSPF on a PPPoE network is pretty simple to set up. Primary principles employed will be: All the backbone IP's will be in one 'area' - the backbone area and network. Every PPPoE server IP range will be in their own area, subnet and network and also connected to the backbone area. The ideal way to a...

I have a DELL Optiplex GX110 with int. 3com lan and XR5
the RouterOS is 3.0rc9.
The problem is that sometimes the wlan sends diassoc to the remote which is also 3.0rc9 with Zcom 5213. I have to disable and enable the card to assoc again.

you need this: 1 antenna + dual polarized feedhorn. 3 boards per side first board simple wds bridge to the other side second board the same as the first thirb board uses 2 ethernet ports with bonding over them you can setup balance-rr for more bandwidth or in your case you need failover link or mode...

As you can all see on ralink's page there are linux drivers for station support. It would be nice if MikroTik just adds the module into the kernel and we can setup stations with these cards.
