Trouble is in HW - Marvel 88E6393X is bad chip - small 2Mbit buffer. If you count, you need at least 8Mbit. CRS305-1G-4S+IN uses 98DX3236 with !!! 24Mbit !!! buffer.
Mikrotik can try emulate buffer by software, but it is bad way.
But ignite metrolinq (has different chipset, but wigig too) can use 12 clients. Any sollution in future? And somebody from Mikrotik on MUM said, that it is software limit. But it can be a mistake.chipset limit is 8
PleaseIt would be nice to be able to connect 3x as many stations per sector though - still limited to max 8.
I don't know any other switch with L1 disable and enable during buffer overload. I think, there is something bad in ROS a RB3011.This is not an issue, this is how this specific switch chip works.
MFM will have to make some design changes. This is one of the few drawbacks of product evolution.
