Looking to understand the impact of the Firewall on high speed routing on a CCR. The benchmark's refer to 25 rules, I assume they are "passing" rules rather than blocks? Ie the traffic is being checked 25 times in a row and passing before being routed on to the end locations. 1. What impac...
Hi All. We are seeing some wierd stuff with our Netflow feeds from RB's into a new accounting package. One of the key settings is "sample rate" and just wondering as I can't see where to set it the default sample rate on a RB Traffic Flow feed is? At the moment we are seeing numbers that a...
Agree with you. I have the same problem. People around here seem to be more worried about loading routes into the tables faster (i agree this is important) and don't seem to care about debugging them. It uses the CLI to parse/filter all the routes, while it works, waiting 1-2mins to pull route infor...
There have been a lot of +1's for multicore BGP and I do agree.... I would really like to know when/if there is going to be an update where doing a /ip route print does not rely on the CLI and a whole core to view routes. We have a pair of 1016's in production at the moment and diagnosing a route in...
Hi All. Is there any thoughts on the best way to investigate/check routing when feeding full BGP tables into a RB? Using /ip route print where x.x.x.x in dst-address when trying to troubleshoot routing/route preference is a really slow and frustrating. On my new CCR at least it gets locked to one CP...
Hi All. I have noticed the odd post of people having issues getting a good, stable and reliable DDOS/protection policy on routeros. I have seen posts of people actually causing the device to crash from a poor policy rather than the actual attack. Just wondering if anyone has, thought about a "B...
we had some RB1200's before, so single core at 700mhz i think they are? New ones are 1.2G so I should actually see an improvement in BGP. I do appreciate the heaps up on the BGP convergence times, it is an issue with the RB but they will still be faster than what I have now (juniper) and what I had ...
I assume as this thread has really slowed down as most people are not having as many issues with CCR's since RC12? Looking to put a pair of CCR's into a production environment in the next week. 2 BGP feeds to each. iBGP between them. Handful of firewall rules and a few policy routes. I have had RB11...
Wouldn't hold out hope. From my interactions with MT over this issue it sounds like ROS 4.xx would need a kernel upgrade to get the fix in place I will take a RC12 if that is all I can have... so an ETA would be great as I will upgrade as soon as its available. As we have just started seeing 4200+ ...
If I disable the he.net feed then its stable again. I can't even ping the other end of the /126 they assigned me, which is a connected route. I get "no route to host". If i kill either bgp peer then its stable again. v3.30 I am having exactly the same issue on two RB1100's. RouterOS 4.16
