If the end user wants to route the public block then surely they need to create a route on their router that points to a gateway, or do they just disable NAT and use the address space with no gateway and it just works?

I had to apply proxy arp on both interfaces to get this working, does anyone know why?

Never mind i figured it out. Need to proxy arp on both interfaces as well as change MTU for PPPoE Headers. Would like to look at using OSPF instead of proxy arp though.
