Re: AP Bandwidth and Latency Issues

It can very difficult to trace what item(s) is causing the issues when you use that variation of CPE's, I would have Mikrotik only CPE's and use NV2 which eliminates hidden nodes, Latency on NV2 - no complaints from customers using this protocol. This is our ultimate goal. Unfortunately the company...

Nv2 with high latency and jitter. When we will nv3 ...

Mikrotik, you guys could create a new package wirelles (nv3) test, and distribute it separately so we can test it and improve it (nv3) while using nv2, so we could reduce the latency, jitter and control frame timeout.

Think about it, so you guys would solve a big problem, the nv2.

I was hoping for wireless improvements as well. I'm struggling lately with NV2 on my PtP links. Data rates are never stable, latency / jitter is all over the place. I miss Ntreme 1ms pings, I am fine with 2-3ms with NV2, if it was stable, but its not. I'll have 10-14ms spikes about ever 20 pings or...

Did you have problems with NV2 prior to 5.20/21?

Yes, disconnect problems before 5.21
Latency slightly smaller (5%) before 5.21
Bandwidth was slightly higher (10%) before 5.21

But still I'm very happy with 5.21 (6.0rc2 has several bugs, but not related to NV2)
