SXT led

Hi All, I recently bought 2 new SXT devices. Both upgraded to the latest 5.7 release and configured in station mode. I was surprised when I noticed that after binding to the AP, none of the led indicators were operate (on both of them)! :? I tried using led on/off commands (:led user-led=no ; :led u...

Re: NV2 Real life PTMP migration and stability

Hello Folks! NV2 two weeks now, so far not a single drop if link. Whole system is rock solid at all loads, we use ROS 5.6 all over. Also much reduced load on all AP:s and CPE:s, less than 1/3 than before. And yes, I am in middle of city like environment, much noice and obstacles, freznel links etc....

What good is a SXT with such big dishes....when signal is -60 at 5 km. I have 5 km links with sxt on both sides and no big dishes. signal -51/53. Another link 13km with groove and 24dbi grid and sxt at client end and signal -61/64. It is expected to have such signal levels in your case, since you u...

Re: SXT reflector - 154mbps TCP

@WirelessRudy. While experimenting with sxt position, we also evaluated the offset topology but for some bizarre reason performance was not as good as the current position with the sxt in front and away from the dish. This led us to apply the steady construction with the metal brackets shown in pict...

Re: SXT reflector - 154mbps TCP

Hi All, We've set a PtMP environment with two sector panel antennas. CPEs are all sxt devices. For clients having a significant distance from central ap, we used same technique with dish reflector. What we noticed while experimenting is that sxt needs to be quite distant from reflector. In the attac...

Next will be the stress test and then later increase bandwith from 20MHz to 40MHz and see how it works then. I will come back with the test results.
Looking forward for the test results! :)

Re: NV2 Real life PTMP migration and stability

Hello folks! All our sectors are now NV2, we did add the last sectors, so far not a single dissconnect from any cpe. I am crossing fingers now. All CPE connects at 54MBit seconds after changing to nv2. Each sector has 10-12 CPE:s. Our Internet here is 100Mbit fdx dual lines, speed is limited to 24M...

Can you please help us and provide some further clarifications for the previous question regarding single client behavior and AP speed for NV2 protocol?

Can a single client affect AP in terms of long distance or low signal conditions?

Re: NV2 PtMP Data Rates

I'm already using one reflector for the sxt which resides at 21km distance! :) It does fantastic job, but as you mentioned requires extra work (and cost) to add additional reflectors for the rest of the SXTs. Actually SXT is an excellent cpe with easy installation and I'm planning to keep expanding ...

Re: NV2 PtMP Data Rates

Thanks for your input and comments guys. Next step is to find a closer position to shorten distance between AP and the SXTs in order to achieve better overall signals. Sector antenna gain is 19dbi (MIMO) and SXT antenna gain is 16dbi, thus from your experience which is the optimum distance for signa...

Re: Network Routing

So, after applying NAT on 433, SXT will only work on bridge mode.

After that will User Manager have to handle each PC separately?

I just wanted to have each CPE running on a "DSL router like" mode.

Believe me… no money left for commercial consultancy… :(

Re: Network topology

Some corrections... The above diagram does not present /30 subnets for all CPEs connected.
I mean the PPPoE subnet will be dedicated with respective gateway.
Can I have a hybrid solution with PPPoE and /30 subnets (for special routing between CPE) on the same wlan1 interface of the AP?
