Re: wAP 60G experience

Today I have switched a wAP60G with wAP60G X3 and I have seen that the receive signal (RSSI)l on AP Side is 5/6 db worst with the newer AP and the link is now less stable than before. Why?

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

Yes, just like WirelessRudy confirms, we have said this before. Nv2 was designed for older chipsets, to solve problems that were there at the time. New chipsets and 802.11ac do not have the same issues, so there is no real benefit to use Nv2 now. Normis 802.11ac not work in PtMP scenario in crowled...

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

My experience says that arm devices works in NV2 AC mode like old mipse device but you must have a good signal (better than -50db) and good s/n and you don't have to ask more than 60 mbit/s of aggregate bandwidth with 30 cpes. AC 40 Mhz channel is not usable both old mipsbe and new arm devices Doubl...

I think you can use LHG60 without no problem but the wag60 has beamforming antenna with a narrow beam, for the shorter link is easy to install and manage.

For the colocation you have to make some test there are no reports from other users with 5 x 60 ghz radio in the same site.

No problem for the short one use a WAG60+WAG60, for the middle two use WAG60+LHG60 and for the last 2 use LHG60+LHG60

if the 5 links are on the same tower remember that 64800 MHz overlaps partially 66000 MHz so you have to separate LHGs in angle and distance.

Use higher channel for longer links

Re: Any chance to see NV3?

We are currently working to implement the NV2 performance when there are various CPE connected to one AP. If you have any complaint please let us know and it would be great if you could the issue describe as detailed as possible, so we could replicate the issue for fixing them. If mikrotik don't st...

Re: Any chance to see NV3?

I can't understand why mikrotik don't want to reveal us the future market strategy we need to have this info to plan the future development.

Please tell us If nv2 is no more supported :-(

Please tell us if nv3 is on the way and if it is close to be released :-)

Any chance to see NV3?

Hi mikrotik guys any chance to see a newer and performing version of NV2? If yes is it possible to have some info about the time path?

Many of us are moving to other vendors but it is an hard and expensive way.

Thnak You in advance

Re: Nv2-downlink-ratio - new huge bandwidth increase setting

With fixed downlink I can confirm a little improvment in wireless performance around 30% in peak time (40 Mb/s max throughput) our configuration is:

downlink ratio: beetween 60 to 67
TDMA period size: auto

with TDMA period size fixed from 2 to 5 the improvment is minimal.

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

We have started a massive and very expensive migration to other vendor due to low wireless performance with NV2, is it possible to know something about nstreme plus? I know it's hard for mikortik reveal own strategy but we are working not joking and if we can save money it 'll be very appreciated. N...

NV2 is an old protocol try to switch to 802.11 if you are lucky with interference and hidden nodes maybe you 'll have better perfomance

Re: Why is nv2 so much slower than 802.11?

NV2 protocol is EOL it is no more usable in professional enviroment after 7 years with mikrotik and 5400 CPEs iinstalled we are slowing moving to other vendors for PtMP scenario. In PtP we switched to Airfiber 2 years ago doubling the performance and stability :-( We have no words, no news and no ho...

After 8 years in business with mikoritk we have taken the decision to switch to Cambium Medusa one years ago for faster service and now to switch to Ubiquiti for all the others. I am very very sad to say but waiting for Mikrotik means wasting time, money and market. Medusa is very expensive but with...

I can confirm this issue during heavy load (speetest udp both directions) the signal floats from 40 to 60 with loads until 200 Mb/s both direction the signal no drop and it stay stable at 80

Upgrade from 6.41 to 6.42rc6 not solve the problem.
