Re: CCR2004 packet loss

It depens how fast the trafffic coming on the 10 gibi/s port to be routed or swithed to the other ports.

We are speaking about 0,1% of packet loss that is not to much for a wireless link but is too much for a fiber link.

Yes, just like WirelessRudy confirms, we have said this before. Nv2 was designed for older chipsets, to solve problems that were there at the time. New chipsets and 802.11ac do not have the same issues, so there is no real benefit to use Nv2 now. Normis 802.11ac not work in PtMP scenario in crowled...

My experience says that arm devices works in NV2 AC mode like old mipse device but you must have a good signal (better than -50db) and good s/n and you don't have to ask more than 60 mbit/s of aggregate bandwidth with 30 cpes. AC 40 Mhz channel is not usable both old mipsbe and new arm devices Doubl...

Re: LHG 60G experience

I think you can use LHG60 without no problem but the wag60 has beamforming antenna with a narrow beam, for the shorter link is easy to install and manage.

For the colocation you have to make some test there are no reports from other users with 5 x 60 ghz radio in the same site.

Re: LHG 60G experience

No problem for the short one use a WAG60+WAG60, for the middle two use WAG60+LHG60 and for the last 2 use LHG60+LHG60

if the 5 links are on the same tower remember that 64800 MHz overlaps partially 66000 MHz so you have to separate LHGs in angle and distance.

Use higher channel for longer links

Re: WIRELESS WIRE more clients on the AP

The main problem are collisions limiting the upload from clients to 10 mb/s you 'd be able to have a good speed from several clients 100/10 mb/s.

In the lab with 8 clients tests gone wrong I suppose due to the beamforming

Re: WIRELESS WIRE more clients on the AP

No real world experience only fast indoor test with 8 clients some months ago. Monkeydan which kind of service are you selling with wap60? Have you tried to limit the upload from clients? Curious if you’ve added 8 people to an AP and what the performance is like? We’ve only done 4 but are afraid to ...

Re: unlicensed spectrum regulatory survey

It's political problem here the market and also the rules are done by big operators. We have to show to our regolatory board and to the government that italian rules are too restrictive, but without data we have nothing to show.

Re: unlicensed spectrum regulatory survey

I am a small wisp and I am collecting data to make a paper to understand how muchi my country (italy) is back. Here basically all is forbidden and a licensed 56mhz link costs around 5.000 euro per years at 18 ghz. But you probably have a big commercial interest in it, when you want to know it for al...

Re: unlicensed spectrum regulatory survey

I have downloaded frequency allocation plan of some european countires but it's no so easy to understand what frequencies are allowed for wisp. In italy 24 and 17 ghz are legal only for private link but not to carry internet data, not allowed for wisp. In germany 5725-5875 can be used as BFWA so it ...

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

We have 6000 cpe deployed 98% mikrotik based we have a lot of experience with wireless.

Arm devices issue seem to be a timing problem with NV2 every new arm device you add you have exponential increase of problems on the AP, it's a big problem on busy AP

Re: LHG 60G experience

Hi guys

what version of firmware is ok for LHG60? I 'm not sure but with 6.42.6 the RSSI level is worst than 6.42.5 and I read on the forum that 6.42.4 is better than 6.42.5

Any advice?

Thank you
