It depens how fast the trafffic coming on the 10 gibi/s port to be routed or swithed to the other ports.

We are speaking about 0,1% of packet loss that is not to much for a wireless link but is too much for a fiber link.

Re: wAP 60G experience

Today I have switched a wAP60G with wAP60G X3 and I have seen that the receive signal (RSSI)l on AP Side is 5/6 db worst with the newer AP and the link is now less stable than before. Why?

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

Yes, just like WirelessRudy confirms, we have said this before. Nv2 was designed for older chipsets, to solve problems that were there at the time. New chipsets and 802.11ac do not have the same issues, so there is no real benefit to use Nv2 now. Normis 802.11ac not work in PtMP scenario in crowled...

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

My experience says that arm devices works in NV2 AC mode like old mipse device but you must have a good signal (better than -50db) and good s/n and you don't have to ask more than 60 mbit/s of aggregate bandwidth with 30 cpes. AC 40 Mhz channel is not usable both old mipsbe and new arm devices Doubl...

Guys I am mikrotik fun we are on the same sinking boat we have to talk about real world where mikrotik losses in both scenarios PtP and PtMP and where other vendors outperforms it We still use mikrotik for PtMP on new towers but we have to split a 60° AP in 2 or 3 QRT ac to have the same performace ...

I have something around a 250 Mikrotik AP with 6200+ users. Nv2 works really better if we considering the old hardware and driver available (netmetal, sxt ac sa, ecc) The main problem is that mikrotik are missing some hardware features like sync and dynamic RF filters (ubiquiti airmax series) and very modern features like mu-mimo and beamforming (cambium epm...

The latest version 'd have the viewfinder that helps a lot to make the first alignment after you may use via cli the command: int w60 align 0 using the average rssi as reference

use the solid mount adapter https://mikrotik.com/product/solidmount for fine alignment

Re: LHG 60G experience

LHG60 is great and available (for a while now). It runs ROS which is way better than AirOS. So wrong thread to blame them sleeping. This new gear looks very small. So I guess gain is between WAP 60G and LHG60G. If you need 5GHz Backup use SXT or combine LHG60G with af5xhd using a powerbox pro. Clie...
