Re: v6.39.3 [bugfix] is released!

There is a bug in EOIP, following the wiki you don't need to set the mtu. It is suppose to default to 1500MTU. It doesn't, its randomly 1408 or 1458, this took a week to fix, as it was randomly breaking ssl sites

Re: Hap AC speed and connection issues

speed is actually worse on 37.4
https://gyazo.com/63bbbc9938e15a2d4351ea6a367e3de3

specifically because it doesn't go mimo on the transmit side, the slow 54 mbit issue is gone, but as you can see it never gets to to 2s 390 is about it, in the same exact spot as yesterday

guess i will try 38.1

this is a retarded config, having 2 dhcp servers is a recipe for disaster, why are you doing eoip in the first place? why not just use a different subnet and not worry about all the ip conflicts that will occur even if you block one of the dhcp servers from crossing the tunnel?

routing is routing period. you will use cpu any time that happens.

the only time the switch chip gets involved is when there is no routing, say where traffic is coming in from port 1 to port 3, with no routing involvement. otherwise the cpu is affected

Re: ip firewall confusion

Anything which is not forbidden is allowed. Ask yourself, what happens if you have no filter rules? If you said "everything is accepted" you get a gold star. Now filter rules 101: Packets are compared against each rule in the relevant chain until one of the following occurs; 1) They match...

If all you have is this: Code: /ip firewall filter add action=accept chain=input comment="vista login for winbox" disabled=no \ dst-address=101.0.1.1 dst-port=8291,80 protocol=tcp src-address=!101.0.1.0/24 then because there is an implicit permit at the end it's functionally equivalent to...

Re: ip firewall confusion

The reason your original rule didn't work is that there's an implicit permit: if no rule matches the packet then the packet is accepted. /ip firewall filter add action=accept chain=input comment="vista login for winbox" disabled=no \ dst-address=101.0.1.1 dst-port=8291,80 protocol=tcp src...

You keep mentioning both 101.0.1.0/24 and 10.1.0.1/24. Can you post the output of "/interface print detail", "/ip address print detail", "/ip route print detail", and "/ip firewall export"? If you simply want to drop administrative traffic from 101.0.1.0/24 u...

Re: Simple que no traffic passing anywhere

It's not a bug. It's documented clearly in the manual: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Queue#Simple_Queues If all properties of a queue have default values (no set limits, queue type is default), and queue has no children, then it is not actually created. This way, for exanple, creation of glo...
