Re: v7.1.3 is released!

Unfortunately, all of the SFP+ ports are still flapping in 7.1.x for me, even with 7.1.3, on a CRS328-24P-4S+. I'm having the same problem. Have two CRS328-24P-4S+ in a very low network usage warehouse area. After upgrade last night to 7.1.3 things were bad. SFPs reported link downs and throughput ...

10 years later, and another 3 before I read it, but it still solved my problem today. Thank you forum!

Re: v7.1rc4 [development] is released!

I only upgraded to 7.1rc3 and now rc4 as my first testing of the platform. hEX S PoE out when set to auto-detect doesn't work on either of those. When set to forced on, it works. Unit behind that port is a Ubiquiti CPE of some kind. Sorry don't know the exact model, it's up on a pole and installed b...

Re: CAPsMAN manager can't manage its own wireless [SOLVED]

I was having this same problem, and the solutions here were half of the problem. I've been running capsmanager for quite awhile, but deployed new routers yesterday for a customer, and copying my existing configs didn't work. My remote APs worked, but the onboard wifi just sat there doing nothing. Af...

Re: IPSEC Tunnel slow as death

You need these two lines at the top of your filter rules: add action=accept chain=forward comment="defconf: accept in ipsec policy" \ ipsec-policy=in,ipsec add action=accept chain=forward comment="defconf: accept out ipsec policy" \ ipsec-policy=out,ipsec Specifically, they need ...

Re: ppp on-up/on-down variables

Awesome - thank you! I've been using the on-up and on-down things to invoke remote API calls by means of an http request - sorta clunky. This will make things much faster.

Re: RouterOS on Amazon EC2

Just chiming in here -- being able to run RouterOS on Amazon would be outstanding for my implementation as well. I currently use a ESXi x86 RouterOS installation to do what I'm doing, but this requires maintenance of a server and space at a colo. I'd prefer to see this piece at Amazon. Feature reque...

Re: perl API client

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad to hear someone with more skills than me is around on here! It might not be anything more than poor implementation of code on my part, or perhaps the the information simply isn't available from the API, but I'm having difficulty getting some of the hardware stats from ...

Re: perl API client

I know there's sometimes a financial nudge that can be given to people developing and maintaining open-source software. I'd like to offer that nudge to an individual or group who might be interested in further developing and refining this perl API. Anyone interested? I'm a perl programmer, but some ...

Re: v6.10 released

I upgraded an RB1200 (powerpc) from 5.24 to 6.10 yesterday afternoon. The queues were all automatically disabled. I enabled them, to find a big problem. The queues were all appended with an interface value that was making the first queue gobble up every single packet. So, I went through and took the...

Re: Problem with disk space

I'm having the same sort of problems. I've read a lot about disabling user manager and uninstalling unused packages like dude, but none of that applies to my routers, where I haven't used user manager, dude, or anything other than the core routeros components. I do routinely use syslog and log quite...
