VERY poor performance on pppoe

Hi, I Have a CCR1016 with routeros V6 as a PPPoE server using RaDIUS. All setup is working fine but there is a big difference on performance. With a router connected through pppoe client I have max 20 mb/s download speed , with the same setup getting IP from DHCP I get over 100Mb download speed. I h...

Re: [SOLVED]Can't access routerboards inside ospf link

Hi MikroTikIQ, The rb433 are in bridged mode and WDS, and do not run ospf. I added the default route to each rb433. and now its working. But if the side of default gateway of the link fails, I am unable to get into rb433 remotely. This is not a big problem for me, but better if I can get into router...

Re: [SOLV?]Can be a pppoe server and Dhcp server on same bri

I found that solution: every interface has its own PPPoE server and dhcp Server. The PPPoe server pool is the same to all servers, but each dhcp server has its own pool. In the fist setup I tried to bridge all interfaces and setup one common PPPPoE server and one common DHCP server. Now its working,...

Re: Policy based routing over ospf Network Question

Thanks mrz for the response, but it makes no sense for me. Why there is a routing loop? I don't do masquerade because we are giving to our customers Public Ip addresses through DHCP server and we have 3 address list (for doing bandwith control), and try to do 1M routing mark and not 1M routing mark....

Re: DHCP over EOIP filtering or blocking

Hello ste, please can you tell me the way to filter dhcp?, I'm new in mikrotik filtering issues. One question more, if I block DHCP in a bridge interface, the customer side of the tower will not get ip from the dhcp server? PPPoE server -- EOIP -- Tower Router ------Customers. All customers and eoip...

Re: Web server with public IP address

Hi,

The first thing that you need is to know if your public IP class C is routed correctly by your ISP.

The second thing is there is a default route to your ISP, and the third if you don't need masquerade rule try to disable.

Regards

[SOLV?]Can be a pppoe server and Dhcp server on same bridge?

Hi, I'm trying to do this setup: I have a pppoe server working over a bridge interface, and I want to set up a dhcp server on the same bridge for getting ip adresses from a pool when I connect a new cpe to the network. If I do this the pppoe clients are connecting and disconnecting continously. when...

[SOLVED] Re: Unable routing PPPoE public IP over Private net

Thanx Luth for your time. Today I called my ISP and forced to review the static route and they find a mistake. At the end it was problem from the ISP, they send the new IP route to a router port that was shutdown :? . (they sumarized the 2 /24 that we owe , in one /23 because they are consecutive an...

Re: Unable routing PPPoE public IP over Private network

Thanks, I have done this, but i can't get acces to internet (that is the problem), the only way that I have to get acces to internet is enable the masquerade rule on R1 : chain=srcnat action=masquerade src-address=9.xx.yy.0/24 out-interface=ether1 I know that is not routing the public ip that we giv...

Question about network infrastructure and assign public IPs

Hello, now I have a little Wisp with a mikrotik x86 router (router2) sharing (masquerade) the same public ip to our customers (less than 220). Our customers get the private ip from the router's dhcp server. Now we are going to change our carrier, and they gives us a y.y.y.0/24 range of public IP adr...
