Re: Hotspot public address and Routing

The better approach would be 1) Doing HotSPot Setup with private series of IPv4 address (eg. 10.5.50./23 . Default Pool of MT HotSpot). This would automatically create DHCP server of this Network and hosts on HotSpot interface will be assigned IP from this pool. You can observe connected/assigned ad...

Dynamic mapping of Private IPs to Public IPs

We've private 172.16.1.0/24 pool of LAN ( 254 hosts- This the maximum concurrent users, but the total subscribers are more than 500). We also have public pool of eg. 1.1.1.0/24. PPPoE users not disconnecting after completion of Data Limit

Re: Time based queue mgmt

Thnx Asus. Many said the same to me but that was too late since I'd already purchased it. Was also getting problems what my colleagues told me with 24Online. But after the use of Mikrotik along with 24Online Radius things are getting better, since flooding issues got escalated with Mikrotik and 24on...

Time based queue mgmt

I am using Mikrotik as NAS server (Access gateway) with the Radius Server as 24Online to Authenticate PPPoE & Hotspot users. At authentication b/w policy assigned to a user is set properly in Mikrotik as Queue for that user. 24Online has a feature of schedule based B/w policy for users. Does anyone ...

Re: Which Billing System Is The Best ???

I've used Free Radius but with the need of dynamic packages for the customers; I started using 24Online as AAA with Mikrotik as Access Gateway. That worked out to be much better as Billing & Bandwidth Mgmt Paltform. Ease of manageability and handling.
