Re: firmware version numbering confusion

in pure numerical sequence, .5 (or .50) is more/higher/newer than .32. however, in this firmware version numbering sequence, it really should be read as 6.05, which would clearly indicate that it is a lower (older) firmware than 6.32. i don't know why MikroTik doesn't adopt this numbering to avoid a...

yeah, i know you can change the frequency; but the speed that is generally advertised is the nominal "default" speed, how it comes set from the factory. in this case it lists 2 "nominal" speeds in 2 different places. if it comes from the factory at 1Ghz, it should be listed in both places as 1Ghz, a...

conflicting/inaccurate information on routerboard.com website?

there are a couple things i noticed on the routerboard.com website that don't seem right. for one, the CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+PC shows on the main product listing page that it is 1.2Ghz, but on the CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+PC 's individual page, it says 1Ghz. so which is it? Re: PowerBox: water getting inside & resetting everything

what if there was some "weatherproofing" where the cables go into the device? just have a rubber grommet that you can put around the LAN/power cables, then that seats into an opening in the bottom of the device. this way, you could have hurricane-force winds, and you won't get water creeping up the ...

the static DHCP IP address that you specify does not have to be within the DHCP pool. i have 48 static DHCP leases on my home network, and my devices all work fine without them being in the DHCP pool.
