It's very easy, you need to mark new incoming connections from tunnel and then route replies back to tunnel. It's pretty much the same thing as used for multi-WAN. I was correcting your assumption. You will get the answer from it: you can use the same antennas to get different polarisation if you orient them accordingly. Well, yes but keep in mind that if you use a higher gain antenna the vertical lobe will be reduced and if you turn the antenna on it side mi...

I think that the intention of having 2 polarities is to have a better isolation in both chains when you use integrated antenna, in other words, when you use 2 chains in the same antenna arrange. I have used 2 Ver Pol sector antennas connected to a r52Hn with the proper separation and worked just fin...

Other way around is: Assuming you are using the default 192.168.88.1/24 on the router... Make the DHCP server pool available from 192.168.88.127 - 192.168.88.126254 this will give all devices dynamic ip address of that pool. Many of your signal levels are far too low. This results in low air rates for the affected clients, which will lower your total throughput for all clients in return. Re: Winbox Suggest to Dev. Team.

You can use The Dude to make a network map. From there you can connect to each Mikrotik device using the context menu. I use Dude server as a live network monitor, but i dont see it practical, because i dont monitor my clients but i do have it on my winbox list, so if i had folders on the winbox wi...

Re: Best ACK timeout for wifi hotspot,

indoor will be best i think. i have a lot of issues, with 5.X and hotspots with a lot of users, and no control on devices loging in. Try use 4.17. Set data rates to a low rate, and use access list, to deny bad signal. Also better to use only g, not b/g. Both AP's are running 4.17, and thanks i had ...

Best ACK timeout for wifi hotspot,

Hi, i have 2 rb411ah with r52 radios in a Pool area in an hotel, By default the ack timeout was dynamic, and the connections really sucked,The communication between the ap and the clients was to slow, ( most of them ipads and other handheld dvices,), so i change it to indoors and that improved a lot...

Winbox Suggest to Dev. Team.

Hi all, I have more than 600 Mikrotik devices, so you must imagine my winbox list how big it is and how difficult is to find someone in some cases. My suggestion is to put folders in the WinBox list so we can save our devices by name in their folder, and made it like a folder tree. Hotel Client (<--...

Re: Attack?

Sounds like everyone driving by that has a cell phone or a laptop hits it.
im not pretty sure about that because all the clients are registered and stands like if theres a crowd near the AP. anyway.. im migrating this cell to 5GHz with NV2 so this problem soon will be solved..

thanks

Re: rb411 setup

what you need is to use station pseudobridge, then add a bridge between ether1 and wlan1 and you are done.. ;) 802.11 doesnt allow to bridge on the station side.. :) this is like a bridge but, no matter what you connect on your ether1 side the AP will see only 1 mac address, the wlan1 one. Regards!

Re: Attack?

You could use the access list to drop anyone with weak signal, but that would likely be a ton of work compared to just enabling encryption. Best bet is to encrypt it. There is a reason that would be the first bit of advice. An easy way to reconfigure the encryption remotely is set up a virtual AP a...

Re: Wireless table meanings and values

As far as i know, The TX/RX rate, CCQ and the Signal level depends of the traffic its passing by through the link, it has to be some traffic to give you a more certain data. P Throughput its, if im not bad, its the possible Throughput available with those wireless conditions. TX/RX Signal when you h...
