EOIP on a 2011LS

I am having problems with running an EOIP tunnel on a 2011LS. The speed through the tunnel is bad and does not go over 20Mbps. An L2TP tunnel to the same destination on the same router runs near 100Mbps. In addition I have setup EOIP from other routers to the same destination and those run way more ...

Re: v6.15 released

pptp and l2tp tunnels broke for winboxing into mikrotik at 6.10 and is still broken. if you create pptp or l2tp tunnel and then winbox into mikrotik through the tunnel if fails right away or disconnects. We have been having to create eoip tunnels to get around it. please fix.

Re: v6.7 released

Thanks Mikrotik upgraded 2 2011 at 5.25 to 6.7 and 1 completely died and 1 had to be powercycled twice to get it back and I am assuming that will die but am scared to downgrade to 6.6 because it will probably die. I only upgraded because 2011s are so buggy on 5.25 and anything else 5. Should have ju...

were gonna throw in a 2011 and see if that fixes it. we do not need any cpu power so we should be fine.

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

so pretty much the only way to get good speeds for TCP is to go 100m half? ouch.

please confirm.

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

I am running a tcp bandwidth test where connection count=1. If that maxes out whatever then man this router really stinks. But now nothing is getting maxed out. Its either our upstream provider or the fiber interface on the mikrotik.

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Ok, ignore my previous post then. Sorry! This smells a bit like an autonegotiation problem. Are you sure all links negotiate at full-duplex? hi thanks for assuming we are idiots. yes I have tested from the router and through the router and everywhere. when I run the speed test the cpu does not go a...

Re: Does some one encounter this problem on 2011?

The changelog for 6.1 says nothing about this. We will need to escalate to Mikrotik. This is a real problem.

Re: Does some one encounter this problem on 2011?

I have had this happen on 6 RB2011 now. It freezes up; bridges all the ports [or acts that way] and the only fix is a reboot. Everything can talk through it but not to it; and no mac-telnet or IP access; it is like it does not even exist; just acts like a dumb switch. I thought it was just on 5.21; ...

Re: Pay for DUDE ?

yes the Dude is pretty amazing compared to other things. My engineer is complaining though that the backend is sql lite which limits our ability to use the program; and also something about how all the data is in binary when it gives data to sql server.

Monitoring Latency/Ping Lose etc.

As our network matures we find the Dude a little lacking in what we need. We are looking at more ability to monitor ping loss and latency; use APIs; and the lack of a SQL engine for the Dude is causing us issues to do what we need. We have around 4000 devices. Any thoughts on what monitoring system ...

Let say ping loss is 20% and it shows up but we would like to be alerted; is that possible in the Dude?

Load Balancing Problem

Hi; I followed the PCC Wiki and there is a problem; I cannot winbox into the ISP1 IP if the 8th rule in the mangle chain is enabled. Anyone know why? WAN gets a DHCP of 172.21.0.194. Can winbox in fine if I disable the 8th mangle rule; enabled cannot winbox in but can ping. Any ideas? /ip address ad...

Re: 3g/4g Verizon mifi compatibility

we have a lot better luck with cradlepoint 750; there is too much wierdness with mikrotik and 3g/4g. it works though in most cases; but you cannot read signal easily. 411u has usb port.

change the nanobridge to station mode; not station-wds mode. ubiquity is tricky like that.

Re: do i need a repeater?

you could set the repeater up as a station-pseudobridge and connect computer via wire; bridge it through; you could do the same but set as station-wds and put a wds entry in the ap side; or you could set both up as ap-bridge and do wds on both sides and connect the computer via wireless to the repea...

Re: "3G offload via WiFi" Headache of mobile operators

mikrotik wont work that well though; no gps sync. mt is fine for core routers though. ur right that 4g wont solve the problem because everyone will start watching movies; now we know why verizon has a bandwidth limitation. ubiquity gps sync problems probably the only hope; nstreme helps a little but...

does the relay have a gateway of 172.21.0.1?[ip->route-> add gateway of 172.21.0.1
also go to ip->firewall->nat and add a scr-nat rule with src address as 172.21.0.0/24 and in action tab select masquarade.

Is it possible to unbridge CanopyCluster/CMM using Mikrotik?

DS3 -> Routberboard -> CMM -> 3 Canopy Aps
Clients off AP1 are on a /25; Clients off AP2 are on another /25 etc.; each AP is a /30; Cmm is a /30.
Is there anything that could be done in the Mikrotik to futher "unbridge" the network?
