Feature request: Confirmation=no

Please consider adding the option to suppress confirmations in the CLI. For example. /system reboot returns Reboot, yes? [y/N]: This causes unnecessary trouble when automating tasks. A remote server would not easily be able to SSH in and perform a reboot as it requires the confirmation. Yes I know t...

Re: Newsletter 61

So dishonesty then. Not cool. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk how about you go and read some actual information regarding the product. http://routerboard.com/MTAD-5G-30D3 I had read all of that yes and the RB info too. That's why I was so confused by the 3 cables, knowing that that specific di...

Re: Newsletter 61

I'm struggling to understand what's happening there with the mANT30 and the NetMetal5 in the newsletter. Look closely at the picture. 3 rf cables connected to 2 connection points on a dual pol antenna. The 2 cables merge into one cable. So are 2 streams together on 1 polarization and another stream ...

Re: Antenna setup recommendations for increasing bandwidth

You need a higher gain antenna on the client side for the far out clients. 25dBi dishes with RB911s would work. There isn't really an elegant solution from Mikrotik for your situation. Running the sector you have with a ubiquity Rocket and nanoBridges would be a better solution for future deployment...

Re: hardware for fast 2km ptp link 2ghz

I would use a 5GHz RB911G with a 5GHz dual polarity dish each side. 24dBi or more.

N-mode, Nv2, 40Mhz channel

Re: Script for TX and RX count Zero

^^^What he said^^^

But for me rebooting the rb wasn't necessary, just disabling and enabling the interface was enough to get it running again.

Re: Script for TX and RX count Zero

This is for 5 clients on a sector on wireless interface, wlan1. Change the IPs to those of the client RBs and change wlan1 to your wireless interface. Add to scheduler to run once on startup. #AUTO restart stalled sector #Ping Sector clients #If no successful pings -> Restart Sector :local latency :...

Re: Questions before to buy MikroTik

So to confirm, you have 2 locations 300m apart and want to link a pc at each location, so: PC1<=Ethernet cable=>Wireless RB1####300m#####Wireless RB2<= Ethernet cable=>PC2 If so, then you need 2x level 3 RouterBoards, eg 2x SXT lites, 5GHz and mounted outside with Line of Sight. One will run in brid...

I've had the exact same thing happen with 2 of the original SXTs after lightening.

Re: Y 2 antenna connectors.

So just to get this right. I can use 2 separate wireless cards in a RB433 with direct power. Each card connected via pigtail and LMR to this sector. Run 2 separate APs from the same sector with the same coverage. 1 group of clients vertically polarized at 5xxx freq and the other horizontally polariz...
