Re: wap 60gx3 ap + Cube 60G ac wifi area

This configuration should not be a problem. I have two of these running.

The problem with the wap 60gx3 is that they are discontinued and there doesn't seem to be a replacement,

Re: v7.1.4 and v7.1.5 is released!

Upgraded 7.1.3 to 7.1.5 on my RB751U-2Hnd

System is unstable for first 10 minutes or so. CPU is 100% and attempts to logon result in crash. After the time, CPU goes back up normal. This was also true on 7.1.3.

My RB952Ui-5ac2nD seems to be stable on 7.1.3

Upgrade failed on RB751U

Did an upgrade from 6.49.2 to 7.1.3 on my RB751U-2HnD. Basically dead. Reset it to factory default and was able to get the router working. It was a simple config so I just did the whole thing. Didn't trust the restore of the backup to work.

My hAP ac lite did upgrade successfully

Re: POE out - why do most MikroTik products not follow the standards?

People have to realize that Passive POE has no voltage standard. Both 24v and 48v are in popular usage. One simple check of the specs would have seen that your PBX is 48V and the Mikrotik units you tried are 24V. I have successfully powered up 803.af devices with 48V passive POE using my Netonix swi...

We just installed a similar setup although our run is shorter.. 24V is not the "golden rule:. We used a 30V supply for the POE We thought about 48V. The PowerboxPro is rated to 57V but our radios (non Mikrotik) couldn't take that much.

The CRS226 has a 400Mhz processor with a single 1Gbs connection to the switch fabric. That is what is limiting your speed tests using the local CPU.

Re: Only need switches function, which is more suitable?

On the RB750, you would be better off to put your uplink on any port other than ether1. That way the switch chip would handle most of the traffic.

Of course, if we are talking RB750UP, the POE aspects may confine what port you use for the uplink since no POE-out on ether1.
