Re: Sxt 2-HnD - bugged wireless, 6.15

I've send supout.rif to Mikrotik and gave them access to several of those antennas. Not a word since - apparently they do not care for their customers. The only help I found was in russian forums where you could find some real wifi masters, if you know the language. With their help I've been able to...

Re: Sxt 2-HnD - bugged wireless, 6.15

They are not indoor installs. The APs are positioned outside, they are meant for hotel guests staying in their rooms, which have direct or near direct LOS through their windows. We have more than 200 M2 working this way without any problems, with 60K users connecting to our hotspot monthly.

Re: Sxt 2-HnD - bugged wireless, 6.15

Thank you for your advice, but it's a rather basic manual on configuring APs. It didn't help. Our APs are with level 4 license, their clients are within the range and polarities. https://www.dropbox.com/s/n9hbvxa4uun3c8g/Screenshot%202014-07-14%2022.41.12.png Here you can see the problem - 58 signal...

Sxt 2-HnD - bugged wireless, 6.15

Hi, We've recently bought 40 Sxt 2-HnD in order to expand our hotspot network. They are used for PtMP connections with end users with their devices - hotel guests mainly. There are several problems with them: 1. Noise level inaccurate. On Freq. Scan everything is shown with -97 noise or lower. In fa...

Re: Hotspot access with Facebook check-in

Make an external login page hosted on a hosting with PHP enabled. From there you could authenticate the users with the API and return the form data to your router.

Re: RouterOS v5.7 released

*) userman - show overall totals, show user totals if user has more than one entry; Can anyone explain what exactly is meant by that - I've installed the new version at both my radius server with userman package and my hotspot servers, and still no luck - userman does not keep ant statistics - once...

Re: SCSI and SAS support in RouterOS

wpeople: I don't have to pay for power anywhere, so G3 is a good choice. About booting from CD, then USB - it's very simple once you get the hang of it, I've prepared an ISO image for that task, simply burn it to CD and off it goes. Anyway, the only time the CD is used is at boot time. I have severa...

Re: radius accounting request not sent

Not neccessarily true. I have a level 6 license x86 and I'm experiencing the same problems. RB450G and x86 Radius level 6 connected on the same switch, 0ms ping between them, and a LOT of these error messages. The only thing that helps is increasing the timeout to 3000ms - then I receive an error on...

Re: SCSI and SAS support in RouterOS

+1 to cciss (HP Smart Array) By the way, I've found a way to boot from USB on servers that doesn't support it - like HP G3. You have to create a custom boot manager on CD, which boots USB drive afterwards - it sound complicated, but really isn't - I have several of those servers running without any ...
