RB2011 / 3011 + LTE modem/SIM slot

Hey MikroTik,

did you consider adding LTE modem and SIM slot to one of your business/home router lines? It would be great as all in one solution and would solve many compatibility issues with modems.

Re: Add ARP for leases, what does it do?

if set how you write, should /ip/settings/arp-timeout be equal to ip/dhcp-server/leases/lease-time or is dhcp-server setting proper arp timeout into router? ARP timeout is the same as the lease expiration timeout in this case. Thank you for clarifying this. One last question, maybe you know this to...

Re: Add ARP for leases, what does it do?

If you enabled this option, and set the interface ARP setting to "reply-only", it will mean that only DHCP clients will be able to access your network, statically configured IP addresses will not be allowed, except if the admin adds their MAC address to the ARP menu if set how you write, should /ip...

Re: DUID for IPV6 Server needed

Hex should be written in following format 0xFFFFFF /ipv6 dhcp-server binding> add server=aa iaid=1 duid="0xffffff" Hi, if you require this format in DHCPv6 server, it would be great if you also provide it in DHCPv6 client, next to full DUID. Also, as you require IAID, there should be provided info ...

Update from 5.26 to 6.24 loses the wireless settings in Omnitik / SXT. AGAIN! like older v6.xx versions... Please ... do some minimal testing .... I update version because I am bound by problems with nv2 ... maybe a good idea to freeze a version and not develop more new functions (only fix bugs) Pl...

Re: Beware of CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+

One thing that made me unsuspicious was fact that every other CCR I have in network works with no issues (at least hardware part). What irritates me most is that I can see that people had exact same issues as far as in August, yet Mikrotik didn't withdraw this model (or send any announcment about br...

Beware of CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+

Hi everybody, just wanted to warn you from buying device from topic. Just installed one on wednesday. After one day of work, device is dead. No reaction to providing power, in either of two sockets, device is dead. During it's short life, device was instantly putting it's only connected RJ45 interfa...

Re: MPLS/VPLS with OSPF problem

Glad to hear I made right choice :) but I'm experiencing different problem now, that is drops in multicast vlan. They are shown on graphs below (Straty), second graph is showing out of order packets (OOO). Does anyone have experience with such triple play setup? There aren't many drops, but they can...

I have experienced this issue on a few models of RouterBoard and it is has always been related to the L2 MTU in the path not being high enough.
Looks like that was the problem, thanks for the prompt

Re: Multicast routing

So, tell me somebody please, should PIM works on CCR, or it will be better to buy DGS-3620 (it works fine with it)? I have PIM on DGS-3627, the model before 3620 series, which is maintaining IPTV vlan for about 100 STB's and two other ISPs with about 500 STBs each, TV is working smoothly. I'll say ...

MPLS/VPLS with OSPF problem

Hello, I'm trying to prepare for network migration from raw L2 to L3 using VPLS. I set up two CCR's, consulting with http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:MPLSVPLS . Tunnels are connecting correctly, I can ping everything, but as soon as I add LDP interface between R1 and R2, I cannot access R2 via w...

Re: Feature request for v7.x BGP advertise-inactive

BGP option like Juniper " advertise-inactive ". At the moment it is not possible to advertise learned BGP routes to other BGP neighbors if that particular route is not in the active routing table because it is overriden by OSPF with better administrative distance. Other bgp impementations (Cisco, F...

assuming your routers are within one ASN, did you check route reflection on their peering session on both routers? Also, did you enable IGP protocol such as OSPF?

We have been holding back on this on our production units as I recall there were wide spread issues with this causing performance issues previously.

what? ibgp <> ospf.
quess he meant IGP ;)

OSPF and OSPFv3 handle IPv4 and IPv6 so whats the comparison here?
with IS-IS you have one protocol daemon instead of two, the less complicity the better
