Yes, if traffic needs to be "routed" not "switched" then the CPU will do the processing, and it will be slower. If most of your traffic is routed, you should chose a device that is a powerful router, not a powerful switch. CRS125 is running RouterOS no SwitchOS, I am right? And what about IGMPv2 / ...

Hi, I just bought this new mainboard. I bought it quickly because my older server passed away this weekend.. But i did not expect that MT v 3.30 and too actual MT 4.11 will not support this ethernet controllers.... Can you please let me know, when hew drivers for this can be included ! thanks sorry ...

so the first rb800 is removed (now is there rb433ah and rb532 instead), we are without problems now. The thing is, when i opened the box where rb800 was situated (box 100cm X 20cm X 50cm, well ventilated) it was not so hot inside..... yesterday we had another problem with second RB800 in plastic ou...

I don't think it's hot enough at the moment where I live, maybe in a few weeks. :) Where do you live, and what is the outside temperature? slovakia, 30deg. so after this "hang" (15minues ago,...10km away from office...) i have finally decided to remove that piece of .... i will return 2 rb433ah there

i was amazed...why 5 or 3,3 voltage been chosen???? 12v is standard.... rb800 is very hot even if 600MHz frequency is chosen - it is situated in well fan cooled outdoor case i am realy affraid of hot summer, if i have problems now... i heard from my distributor, that RB1100 is even hotter :(( bad ba...

it is working because you have good ventilation into case, it seems that at this moment those aluminium cases with ventilation are very good.

i have big case with som other components inside + 12cm fans (one in, one out)

but i cannot find "keep frequency" like in older RBs
it is done, when i switch it only once in BIOS?

so i should try to change it to 600MHz exactly?

i don't have spare RB800 only lots of RB433, 532, 133 and some WRAPs...

i don't want to have troubles in early morning - i want to try to change it about 6AM our local time...

thanks for the reply i will try to drop the speed to 667 when it is 24c outside if this is a cpu speed problem and only some chips can run at 800 it is still a mikrotik problem and they must sort it out how can i -safely- change the frequency, i know that in console it is in: /system/routerboard/se...

when i move two selected, newly created firewall rules in firewall/forward (drop p2p connections for some address lists) to the top of list (from 2390,2391 to 14,15) , it changes the action for rules from DROP to ACCEPT.

when i move only one rule, it does same thing

clients reported bad SQ functionality:
example: set to 256k/512k, but only half throughput....

cpu utilization was broken too. almost all time, it showed 0%.

after downgrade to 3.13, everything looking fine......

This night i have changed my main gateway. i exported everything through export command in console and imported in new server. previous configuration >some p4, new one is quad core xeon. Every works flawlesly but i see wird things :) scheme of my network: upstream ISP................new server-S1......

It is safe to enable multicore support in MT 3.2 (c2d on some supermicro mobo).
