Re: ADSL2 Aggregation

Hello everyone! I would like to ask You for help on aggregating 3 ADSL2 links, if its possible in this topology. If some one can make a small tutorial using winbox, and OmniTIK should initiate pppoe connection. TY Where is the DSLAM? The best scenario is having a router using MLPPP conencted to 3 m...

Re: Has MikroTik given up on MetaROUTER?

My guess is that the problem could be switching (buck) regulator's transient response time or less likely output ripple. Increasing core frequency, using more on-chip resources may require faster transient response at the power pins of the Atheros (and for other SoC as well) .So it is worth checking...

Re: RB2011 Announcement ?

All of them are real interfaces! When I say "real interface" I usually talk about a dedicated MAC+PHY combination or NIC. Not necessarily the logical representation inside ROS. CPU has 1GBit channel to the 100Mbit interfaces, and one 1Gbit channel to the switch chip. So the CPU itself has...

Re: MT MPLS Capabilities

Can Mikrotik MPLS handle more than just Ethernet? Can I stick a supported T1 or T3 card into an x86 box and transport it through MPLS to a box on the other side? If I have a box that will take a T3 and plop it onto MPLS, will MT participate in that cloud and carry it to the other side? Trying to fi...

Re: Hardware suggestions for FTTH ISP

PPPoE over FTTH definitely isn't the norm. The prioritization of multiple PPPoE sessions does not typically tie into the queuing performed by Ethernet chips inside Active Ethernet switches. Personally, I would prefer doing DHCP Option 82. Are you going to try to make use of RB2011s with SFP ports ?...

Re: VoIP compression

Hi
it Really needs high Processing power and Fpga seems to be the solution. Solution must be ptp anyway. All Udp packet headers for the same destination must be removed, payload should be ordered, muxed with a new header. Similar approach might be in use by some mobile operators..

Re: E1 transfer with wireless

Hi, You should try IPMUX-1L (1xE1) or IPMUX-2L (2xE1) or IPMUX-4L (4xE1) from RAD DATA COM. depends on your number of E1 requirements. These devices can work as expected according to my practical experiences... For multipoint to point set up, you must use a device with higher E1 capacity naturally....

Re: Where is 23dB from R52n-M

Thank You. Now everything is clear, because someone mentioned 3dB of difference between one and two chain...
dBm = 10 log a, a in mW output power, base is 10 == one chain

2 chains means 10 log (a+a) = 10 log 2a = 10 log 2 + 10 log a = 3 + 10 log a (in dB), (10 log 2 = 3)

Am looking into ways of proving Internet to Multi dwelling units and wireless is proving to be a tough choice which brings me to using Broadband over power line (BPL).
