Is burst on a schedule possible?

Hi. So, between two ethernet interfaces I'd like to restrict either of the interfaces from downloading large files over http from utilizing all the bandwidth. As I understand it, burst is the tool for the job. However, I have no need to limit such downloads during off hours. Is there a way to set up...

MS RRAS + MikroTik DHCP

I'm using Mikrotik as DHCP and have configured a RRAS server on w2k8 r2 to which I am forwarding incoming connections through ROS. I can connect fine to the server and communicate only with the server RAS is installed on. I am trying to troubleshoot my inability to communicate with other internal se...

Re: v5.11 released

I'm also having x86 latching up problems but on 5.7 (the device still works, but no interface is accessible until reboot). Actually I've got two systems, one running 5.7 and the other running 5.8 that will not update to 5.11 - perhaps I am doing something wrong or missed reading something somewhere.

Not all traffic is routed through PPTP connection.

Ok, So I've got a PPTP client hooked up on the routerboard and am attempting to push traffic from only one device in a subnet over the VPN. So, Here is my poorly drawn diagram: http://i.imgur.com/2ClFv.png The device in this case is an xbox and eth0 is the WAN. I've got 2 subnets now and am blocking...

Re: Confused about best configuration for NAT/UPnP/wireless.

Yeah that's one of the extensive threads I was reading. What I will likely end up doing is connecting 1 Xbox directly to the 750GL and see if I can get UPnP to work that way (which it should). If that's successful I'll try with 2. If that works, I'll re introduce the access point and test and then f...

Re: Confused about best configuration for NAT/UPnP/wireless.

Hi, Please read this http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=45259 What exactly was I leaving out? I don't feel log files are applicable in this instance as I'm seeking more general advice about configuration, I gave a rudimentary text layout of the devices, and the problem I had was initiall...

Confused about best configuration for NAT/UPnP/wireless.

Hi! So. I picked up a RB750GL for home use. As we cannot run wires (renting) I took some old WRT54Gs with DD-WRT and configured them as bridges so the RB has my roomate's AP plugged in, and a WRT54G as an AP which I have bridged with another WRT54G in another room for connecting my wired devices to....
