Chateau LTE6-US and US carriers

Hello! According to Chateau LTE6-US product page https://mikrotik.com/product/chateau_lte6_us , the product is "US carrier-certified". I have attempted to activate a Verizon SIM card using Chateau LTE6-US IMEIs (I have 3 of them) and none of them were actually worked, message being that pr...

DC PSU for CCR2004-16G-2S+

Hello!
I see that CCR2004-16G-2S+ power supplies can be replaced. Any idea if there is a -48VDC option, available or planned?
Thank you!

Re: netPower 16P power design flaw

Same voltage that is applied on the DC input. In my case, 54V of 24V, depending on input. Again, I understand the product is not usable in a -48VDC environment and that's my fault assuming it will work. I should note here that the similar product from Ubiquiti states very clear in their documentatio...

Re: netPower 16P power design flaw

Yeah, that's my bad here, device cannot be used in a -48VDC because it is not designed to be. It works fine without the ground, but that's not the right way to do it. Mixing positive and negative ground is a bad idea, as I discovered the hard way. @Lifz, thank you for your quick and full of kindness...

netPower 16P power design flaw

Hello, We have ordered 2x netPower 16P and they both put out current on the frame ground screw. It's the same voltage that's going in via the DC ports. I am assuming that we did not receive 2 defective units and that this is the design. That being said, it's a bad design, since it pops our fuses all...

Re: netPower 16P max total power

Is "high" standing for 802.3af and "low" for passive POE? And it really depends on your "flexibility" needs. As far as my needs, I always have to invent something to power these devices, in order to make them work as they should be (redundant as far as power, telco envi...

Re: netPower 16P max total power

That document is as confusing as all the other places. I did not find any clear mention about the type of POE that can be used when only the low voltage input port is connected. Is this device able to supply 802.3af when it is powered via the 18-30V port only?

Re: netPower 16P max total power

I really don't understand why Mikrotik is not making (more) dual neg48 devices. For devices like 16P or bigger switches, those have very high chances of getting installed in such an environment. Is tehre anyone that installed 16p in a dual neg48 power setup?

Is device able to provide 802.3af only with the 18-30V PSU port connected? I am not able to find a clear reference to that, as documentation looks to be left intentionally confusing.
"Or you can set manually per port" - how does that work with only the low voltage PSU connected? Thank you!

Hello, During last 2 weeks I've upgraded several RB2011 to ROS 6.38.5 and latest firmware (3.33). All of them are dialing an openvpn connection to a central server for management purposes. Also, all have a watchdog rule to reboot if they cannot ping the VPN management IP. Yesterday, that management ...

I just hope they support OpenVPN UDP. I just don't get it why MTK refusest to implement this feature. Their passive-agressive answers on this forum are at least weird. They are inviting you to look someplace else. Too bad, it is a great product, flawed by some really bad choices. Too much "russ...

It's most likely the switch. Any idea if that is a feature that I should look on switches? Or do you know any 5p switch that works in this setup? I would rather change the switch than put even more scripts for workarounds.

Re: L2TP routing debug

Hello!

Actually this was not a routing problem, but an IPSec problem, due to the fact that I have 2 different policies for the same networks, but with different endpoints. Once I disable one of the conflicting policies, it works fine. I will open another thread for that problem. Thanks!

Any luck on this? I have more or less the same problem: it works fine falling to the backup, but once main is back, I have to wait over 2-3 minutes until the network computer see the virtual gateway.
Due to my setup I need to switch back to the main router, once this is back online.
