Re: v6.34.5 [bugfix] is released!

kmok1 - We have managed to reproduce problem like this and are currently working on a solution; Marino - We are not being able to find any issues with routing marks on any of our policy routing configuration tests. Please generate supout file on your device while problem is actual and send it to su...

Re: v6.2 released

Hello! Looks like you have broken the sniffer app with v6.2. I have two Ethernet ports SPAN mirrored to a CCR1036. With v6.1 it sniffed just fine, after upgrading to v6.2 I get nothing (the sniff packets/connections/hosts/procotols tables are empty). Could you look into that? Here is my sniffer setu...

Re: Vlan features in Atheros 8327 and 8227 based routerboard

Agreed.

Also, a feature that would allow to strip tag from a frame with a rule (not with the global interface directive 'vlan-mode=always-strip') would be nice.

Re: ipv6 on VPN: Not seeing link local address on l2tp inter

janisk: this is all true when you want to ping the LL address or when you display the main routing table, where you can see the RIPng routes' described by by the 'll%interface' pair, but the RIPng's routing table (/routing ripng route print) has its routes' gateways decribed only be the LL value. Re: ipv6 on VPN: Not seeing link local address on l2tp inter

Hello, The thing is that Mikrotik elects a link-local address for an L2TP itnerface only after the interface has dialled-in. In other words, only when the interface is in Running state does it get a link-local address. The global address added to that interface gets unreachable when the interface is...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Hello!

The CPU specs say:

- - -
IEEE1588v2 precision timing controller support
- - -

Is there going to be a version of the CCR that supports PTP on the PHY level so that you can run Synchronous Ethernet over the CCR?

BTW, the CCR looks awesome!

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

The 951 seems like a great replacement, since it doesn't suffer from *this* bug in any way, but the wireless does disappear every few hours, until you reboot or re-enable the (enabled) wireless interface. MT support has confirmed this bug has been reported by multiple sources, and they're currently...

How many points do you need to pass the test? Is it the same for every test, or does it vary between certificates?

Re: RB won't mark (by src-addr) packets routed through it

Cancel the above. It is LDP neighbourship related problem. When I turn it off and the neighbourship goes down the mangle src rule starts capturing packets. If the neighbourship goes up again (without or without any VPLS tunnels), the rule stops getting anything. The LDP neighbourship works only over...

Re: v5.13 released

I can see that after upgrading form 5.12 to 5.13 the Total Sector Writes counter on my RB750G has reset to 0. A nice feature if you want to sell a used RB750G as brand new one ;).

Re: RB won't mark (by src-addr) packets routed through it

OK, I might have found a solution. I had a VPLN tunnel between the second and the third RB so that I could bridge some of their ports into one broadcast domain (a virtual switch). When I removed that configuration the mangle IPv4 src rule started capturing packets again. I guess that does it but why...

RB won't mark (by src-addr) packets routed through it

Hello! I have three RBs running. The first is the Internet gateway, the third is the one distributing IPs to the customers over DHCP and the second is "the man in the middle" doing packet marking and traffic shaping. All of them are interconnected with OSPF. I have noticed just recently th...

Re: RB750UP - 12V power source question

Thank you for checking that for me normis! It know you represent MT but i wanted to be 100% sure. The RB532 is not exactly mine and I received it along with the above mentioned link to the manual along with a clear message "don't break it" so I'd rather ask twice than risk a dead RB :). Th...

Re: RB750UP - 12V power source question

Thank you both for your answers! So no, I can't use a 12V PS as I want to be able to use the wgole 751Gs potential. As for the excerpt normis quotes, I have found something different elsewhere: PoE IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet (both JP5 and JP6 must be switched to the 2-3 position) accepts 12V or...

RB750UP - 12V power source question

Hello! I have a question - can I use a 12V power source to power the 750UP and then feed a 532, a 750G and a 751(U/G) over PoE with it? I am asking because the 532 accepts only 12V or 48V over PoE and the latter is out of question as it will fry all the other RB - 750UP included. If I can use a 12V ...
