Re: Audience vs Eero?

Thank you for all the responses. It did work. Just start with a complete untouched "factory" default and follow the printed instructions carefully. Once that is done, the "fine" tuning can be done. I have installed them and is using a 200Mbps up and down fibre line to the net. I loose about 15% on t...

Re: Audience vs Eero?

I will certainly try again, and report back. It is 3.10pm South African time now and I have been at it since early (no success so far), so my brain is jelly at the moment. It should not be as hard as you seem to be experiencing. Can you describe how the chain of gear you are using is connected? I.e...

Re: Audience vs Eero?

I have been using Mikrotik since V3. I do know a lot, but there is more I do NOT know. I got 3 Audience devices to do a job, since the write up about them fit my application. I have spent days to get them to mesh (still no success) The insert that came in the box describe amongst others the led's an...

Re: Mikrotik user-manager voucher printing

I have been using a licenced version of this program for a number of years now with great success. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it without reservations. The reason I am writing here is because of a frustration I experience with MS Windows 10. In error I allowed an update from Wind...

Thank you for the reply. You are right that is a certain place to look!! I did find a solution to the problem -- elsewhere -- but still do NOT know what caused it. I will explain briefly: My xDSL modems are all setup in Bridge as well as PPPoE mode. And it functions (functioned) fine. Some clients c...

Re: v6.34.2 [current] is released! www crash

I am using ROS V6.34.2 on a RB450G, and the www still crash on occasion while using userman. There seem to be no pattern to this happening.

Is it something in my setup, or has the problem not been fixed completely?

Hi, how is your system ? the normal voltage is 24.6Volt at me and when decrease to 22V and system sent me notifactions I understand that main power gone. Thanks, yes I can see your reasoning and it is good. On the 750 however there is no voltage variable so I can not use that script. I use the scri...

Re: Power Monitoring on the Cheap from Sowell

Hi all~ I have a question. I found a great script and plan on the web for utility monitoring on the cheap by Greg Sowell. The idea is fantastic. I have implemented this script and hardware on 4 routers. Three of the routers are RB450's or 493's running 6.10, and the 4th is a ccr1009 running 6.17. I...

Re: Power Monitoring on the Cheap from Sowell

I also think it is a great idea, and implemented it. With limited success. I am now back in the "lab" running tests, on a 750 (ROS v 6.19). When the power fail all goes well and the script notifies me. When the power comes back the port 'dies' and that the status stay at no-link. All I could do to g...

Usermanager profiles and limitations - Questions

I have used UserManager for a number of years with success in a certain way that I have found to work that is stable, and I have learned to trust it and its behaviour. Now I am trying to do the following, and believe me I tried, obviously not enough because I just can not get it to work properly, co...

Re: usermanager error

I am no expert but you need to add the profile to the user (click the "+" then check if the profile and any limitations has been added) when you add the user (if you have not done so already) This is in your step 6. Also the message you display in your step "last" is not from usermanager but from yo...

Re: Solution: Automatically clean expired User-Manager accou

In a process of learning and working I found this script.
