Re: v7.14 [stable] is released!

I've updated my CHR instance in ProxMox and had no issues with the upgrade so far. I am just using this router as a basic home router with NAT and a couple of containers, so nothing special configured on the ethernet ports. I am running cake as well.

I keep having the MTU reseting from 1700 to 1500 on a VLAN interface. 7.14 RC1. RB5009. The VLAN interface is on a VLAN aware Bridge (L2MTU = 1704 on the bridge interface). Re: Anyone using haproxy with let's encrypt?

Yeah, it just seems a bit more complicated with containers. I'm not a big user of containers so it was a bit more work than I ...

I've used haproxy before in a standard environment, so I played around with the container a bit, but I didn't find a very straightforward way to get it running with let's encrypt. OPNsense and pfSense offer haproxy plugins to do this sort of thing. Otherwise you can run the proxy inside the lan and forward the ports to it and let it proxy ...

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

Chupaka - You can see the limit in IP/Firewall/Connections menu. At the bottom of the table there is Max Entries value. I tried to check this on our main router and I gave up trying to get to the end of the table. (Which brings up a problem with Webfig. There should be a paging mechanism or a scrol...

Re: Howto? mAP Lite repeater mode?

I think I was testing with rc40. I'll update to the release version and test again.

Re: Howto? mAP Lite repeater mode?

I managed to get this working for the most part. You can start with quickset configured for AP or CPE. Then you add a virtual wireless interface for the other function. So if you start in AP mode you add a virtual wireless interface for station. Vice versa for CPE mode. Then you can change the DHCP ...

Re: Howto? mAP Lite repeater mode?

I've been trying to get this setup too, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I'm not real sure how it's supposed to work wither. Every time I try the setup repeater I end up getting locked out of the mAP and have to reset it to defaults to get back in. My attempts to set it up have so far been met wi...

Re: 1Gb/s single tunnel IPSEC on X86

You'd have to search the forum and double check my memory, but IIRC, the CCR is the fastest option currently and I think it does something close to what you are seeing now on a single tunnel. Unless recent updates have improved performance, I think you may end up having to spend some $$$$.

Re: Using L2TP/IPSec VPN with iOS 10

I was able to set mine up, settings the same as above going by memory, and it works fine from my phone over wi-fi, but not over cellular. I think there may be an issue with the cell provider that fouls up the connection. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but in the router I can see the SAs. One direc...

Re: v6.37rc [release candidate] is released, only one wireless package!

48db signal to noise sounds just about impossible in the real world on unlicensed freq. We have licensed links running under -50 that don't see 48db SNR. I would guess the first set of numbers are more accurate.

Re: v6.34 [current] is released!

We also are seeing traffic graph issues with the release. rc41 was fine. After upgrade to the release the graph shows lower values than the interfaces do.The only lines in the graph that look to be proper size are ones that were drawn while refreshing the graph page. So the first two graph lines at ...

My SIP problem seems to be unrelated to the upgrade. Just a coincidence that the problem occurred shortly after the upgrade.

Re: 6.34 release candidate version topic!

Settings changes didn't fix the SIP issue. I may try downgrading later and see if it goes away. It's going to be a hassle to try and capture packets on our sip box since it runs on a Pi.

Re: 6.34 release candidate version topic!

We've apparently been having some SIP helper issues since loading 6.34rc11 on a 750GL. This is the first new version I've tried on it since 6.30.4. The problem is intermittent and has been happening off and on. I've just started looking into it. The problem appears to involve bogus sip invites. I ha...

Re: PPTP Server issue: cannot access LAN after connection

I've definitely narrowed it down to the firewall rules. I have an input rule accepting tcp 1723 and that allows the pptp connection in the first place, but I also have a series of forward rules allowing connection to internal servers on specific ports on my lan segment and dmz segment. That all work...

PPTP Server issue: cannot access LAN after connection

I have successfully setup a PPTP server on my RB750GL and can connect to it. However, I cannot access any LAN devices and there doesn't seem to be any traffic going out from the RB750 to my PPTP client. I basically turned on the PPTP server and set up a secret with username and password, using the d...

Re: Looking for DMZ example config

Thanks. That's what I needed. My initial attempt was thinking in the right direction, but I wasn't quite understanding the operation of NAT properly. I wasn't using the forward chain where I should have been, and I had srcnat's for the DMZ ips that weren't needed. I really did search a lot and looke...

Looking for DMZ example config

Does anyone have a config with DMZ and 1:1 NAT they could post as an example. I just got my first Mikrotik device, 750GL and am trying to set it up with a WAN, LAN, and DMZ interface. The WAN has a static subnet from the ISP and I would like the LAN and WAN to use internal numbers with NAT. There wo...
