Re: RB SXT 5HnD setup help

40Mhz has more transmission room compared to 20Mhz so higher air rates and throughput. Dont forget SXT have only 10/100Tbase ethernet controller.

Re: connecting 711G-5HnD and R52n-M with 40 mhz channel

Yes - why not? 5Ghz-only-N 20/40Mhz HT Above and u are good to go. Only remember to have max throughput its recommended to uz di-pole antennas (with regular antenna u will be able to run onlu chain0 so Air rate 150/150Mbps at ideal environment.

Re: RB433

Have u clear LOS and Fresnel zone? If u do, have u tried to change frequency? Reason u have low rx value at receiver side could be low sensitivity radio card. U should see Tx/Rx level @ dBm as well check Signal to Noise (normal should be Signal to noise 25-35dB and Tx/Rx -60/60dBm)

For what purpose you would want something like that? There are several low cost Gb compatible boards in market. My Favorite RB433GL only i dont like plastic Ethernet connectors..

Not 100% sure, but for 99% i think it will not work, as there are lot of other hw missing (transistors, resistors, synchronous buck reg. and so on and on.. )

Re: 802.11n throughput problem

Lower Tx Power (u should have around -45 to -55dBm)
Then set AP and Client:
HT Guard Interval to long
HT Extension Channel to Above Control
Select all 7 Options under HT AMPDU Priorities

Re: newbie question

Beam width on SXT is 25° on H/E plane so shouldn't be hard to do alignment at all. Have not seen any notable speed gradation in rain/snow/cold on such a small distances. Real life speed on 2km link with SXT is 190Mbps.

Ps. Nice - easy setup tutorial

Depends on your connection. With 802.11a u should get around 22-25Mbps with nv2 and wider channel u should be able to get significant more throughput.
