Re: WifiWave2 support or not?

I read the Smoerrebroeds' reply a couple of times and did not decipher that he has two controllers especially the last statement
Works like a charm, and beside the fact that there is a difference in UIs for the two CAPsMANs, they happily coexist.
confused me.

Re: WifiWave2 support or not?

Do you then have two controllers? One with legacy CAPsMAN and one with Wifiwave2? Or do you somehow have installed both on one controller (which, how)?

WifiWave2 support or not?

Hi! I just go me some new CAPax devices and WAP ac BE and was wondering if the WAP ac BE does support WifiWave2 or not before I start installing them as I did notice that CAPax ONLY supports WifiWave2 so I will have to reconfigure/upgrade my whole setup if I want to use my new devices. And an additi...

Client disassoc - AP via CAPsMAN / works when no CAPsMAN

Hi, I have a setup where I have RB1100AH as main router and CAPsMAN setup with 18 RBGrooveGA-52HPacn APs. Setup in 2GHz mode with four different wlans - no local forwarding. When working normally in CAPsMAN mode one client does not connect to the network with error class 3 frame received (7) - devic...

CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ SPF+ port not working

Hi, I have a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ and a CRS125-24G-1S-RM where I wanted to use the CCRs SFP+ port to connect to the CRS SFP port using the MikroTik S-85DLC05D modules. According to the specs the SFP+ on the CCR1009 also support the 1.25G modules and the module is recognized by the system but the link d...

Re: DHCP SERVER option 43 (vendor-specific) based on clients DHCP option 60?

Anyone has any idea how to accomplish this? I was searching through the forum and found a reference on using RADIUS to "fill" options but this is a "last resort" option for me. I'm thinking that it could be accomplished by using the lease script... Setup in my head: 1. set lease ...

Re: DHCP SERVER option 43 (vendor-specific) based on clients DHCP option 60?

Hi,

When I have a device (example: IP phone) that sends a specific Option60 as the DHCP client, I want the DHCP server to return a specific Option43 linked to the value of the received Option60.

DHCP SERVER option 43 (vendor-specific) based on clients DHCP option 60?

Hi,

I have come to a situation where I would need to send different DHCP options based on the clients DHCP option 60 value.

I browsed the settings of DHCP server and also this forum but couldn't find any information if this can be done.

Any ideas how to achieve this?

Thanks!

Re: IPIP tunnel + IPv6

Hi,

just to post my solution, I established a GRE tunnel over the IPIP tunnel already established and on the new GRE tunnel I have set the IPv6 settings and it works like a charm.

Thank you MT!

IPIP tunnel + IPv6

Hi, I have IPIP tunnel setup between two routers and with IPv4 it works flawlessly, but now I would like to "share" my public IPv6 space from router1 to router2, so I thought that if I simply add a private IPv6 address on each router and then route a subset of my IPv6 range through that, b...

Resolved this issue - it seems I had a misconfiguration before on the "uplink" interface and it was getting reset.

Works as expected!

Recommended configuration ? Current topping at 200Mbits/s

Hi, I'm currently running a ROS 6.13 installation with four KVM guests - ROS on an Intel Core2Duo 2.6GHz with 2Gb RAM; installed is a 4Port Intel PCI-Express card (82571EB chipset) for internal traffic plus a 82541PI card for WAN. Internal traffic is switched over HP Procurve 2510G-48 and HP Procurv...

VLANs inside KVM guest?

Hi, I'm moving all my x86 virtual routers scattered across VMWare hosts to a centralized RouterOS KVM Host and came up to a problem where VLANs inside KVM guest didn't work. My configuration: ROS Host: eth1 - physical interface connected to switch |-- vlan1 |-- vlan2 veth1, veth2 and veth3 - virtual...

Re: VMWare ESXi + RouterOS VMs or RouterOS + KVM VMs

AlexS: I agree; but the main concern I have is the ROS version mismatch as according to documentation it is "recommended" to have the same versions across host/guest ROS and to maintain that - i.e. to remember always to upgrade all guests and after that the host installation, could bite so...

ROS Host + ROS guest (different versions)?

Is it possible and how to run different versions of host and guest ROS?

If I make the RouterOS Image it makes it with the current running ROS but how can I make sure that it stays that version - i.e. would need a copy of initrd and kernel images.

VMWare ESXi + RouterOS VMs or RouterOS + KVM VMs

Hi,

what would you recommend to run multiple virtual RouterOS machines?

An VMWare ESXi host with RouterOS machines or a RouterOS installation with KVM machines inside the main ROS installation?

Re: KVM image on USB?

The USB is the media on which the ROS is installed and booted from; therefor I think it should be identified as "sda" or "hda" ?

KVM image on USB?

Hi,

I'm testing RouterOS and have installed it on a USB drive in the computer.

I can successfully create the image, but can not start the KVM as I can only select from "cdrom, sdX, hdX" the image / whatever I select the machine is not started.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Re: /log/print with queries does not work properly (for me)

Is "time" then comparable and how? As I tried also with
?>time=Nov/20/2011 11:11:11
for example and didn't work either.

I have this: /log/print ?=topics=firewall, info ?>.id=[LAST LOGGED ID] with which I would like to monitor routers log for firewall entries where I "remember" the last ID from last entry from each run and when the log entry ID was "*FF" and using this /log/print ?=topics=firewall,i...
